Hi everyone, i just subscribed to celcom D98 plan, which come with the Blue Cube modem
But i encounter this problem. Everyone look at this :
[attachmentid=573461]
Soon after this thing occur, the connection will be disconnected soon.

It occur around half and hour after i get connected and out of 10 times, there will be around 3-4 times
However if it is not disconnected, here's my speed:
[attachmentid=573462]
Is it my modem problem? i tried to uninstall and reinstall many times but same thing happen over and over.
Thanks in advance for everyone who give reply on this

QUOTE(Mr Cola @ Aug 30 2008, 06:31 PM)
For the Fair Usage Policy:
1/ How do i check if i've exceeded my 5Gb quota?
You will receive sms notification from Celcom @ your alternate phone number you provided when you register your broadband.
2/ This 5 Gb includes surfing and streaming as well? Online games?
Include every sent/received.
3/ Is there a way to revert the speed other than waiting till next month?
If Celcom capped your speed, the only way is to wait the 1st day of next month.
*
Mr cola, if throughout the month i didn't receive any message from celcom on my alternate number (my D98 plan did not support sms service),
does it means that i was not capped? or is there any other way to check?

Base on current info i have, that's the only method to know either you're capped or not, that is sms notification at your alternative phone number. If you didn't receive any message, I bet you're not capped.

Did you feel the speed suddenly slow down alot? If no, then you're lucky, not capped. biggrin.gif
*
for surfing and direct downloading, it didn't differ much,
just the torrent download is slowed, but i think its the peers availability problem

& my billing date is 12th every month, if i get capped, it reset on 1st or 12th?

i subscribed the celcom broadband plan D98 + modem for rm129 per month on july..
today, 19/09/08 i received the 2nd bill and i quite dont understand it.

the bill state that the monthly charges is the package value FROM 13/09/08 TO 12/10/08 and it mentions the due date
for this is on 06/10/08

Now is only the middle of september, and i was asked to pay for the usage from 13/09 to 12/10 which i haven't use yet??
this package is also considered a postpaid rite? then what is happening?

Supposingly i paid for 2 months in advance during registration which include from july to 12/09. This was mentioned in my 1st bill...

Can any1 explain this to me?

THat kinda hard for me to explain how the bill for promo works since I'm only taking package only.

Could you list down the details of your first and second bill?
*
1st bill : payment detail
Cash Payment (Dealer Portal) 15/07/2008 -258.00

One Time Charges
Stamp 10.00

Monthly Charges
Package Value-Prorate 15/07/2008 to 12/08/2008 120.68
Package Value 13/08/2008 to 12/09/2008 129.00

Current Charges 259.68

Total Amount Due 1.70

I have no problem with the 1st bill..i can understand well...means the payment i made is for the usage until 12/09/2008 rite?
Then the 2nd bill:
Monthly Charges 13/09/2008 to 12/10/2008 129.00

Current Charges 129.00

Total Amount Due 130.70

the bill date for this is 13/09/2008

Why i was asked to pay for the usage from 13/09/2008 to 12/10/2008 while i havent use it yet??
if like this it is considered prepaid not postpaid oredy...

tonyvyp, celcom sent billing in advance. I think everyone using data only already recieved bil for this month + next month. the amount is fix. celcom assume user not terminate the service during billing cycle.

u can paid now, wait before tarikh akhir or before 12/11/2009. two month unpaid bill line cut.
*
i'm in contract with them for 18 month..if i dun pay bill for 2 month, they cut, will i b fined for the rm350 penalty?? coz its not me to terminate
the package...and what bout the modem?

the best usb modem so far is ZTE MF622 , cooler than Huawei e220 ( in terms of heat emitting ratio ) rclxms.gif

u guys can ask mod fruitie as she is using one herself now  thumbup.gif
*
what about the connection? will it be somehow better?
or is lower heat emitting the only advantage as compared to huawei e220?

Front payment is RM 98, it is considered as your first month payment. No need deposit.
Bring yourself and I.C. and they will settle for you. smile.gif
*
there is actually a 2 months upfront payment...means during registration u hav to pay rm196.
and then on the 2nd bill, u will still be charged another rm98 (for the next month usage which u haven use yet)

i donno y celcom like tat...so stupid

Yes, maybe due the contract you took.
Well, nobody answers you because we really don't know as most of us applied without contract and bought cheap USB modem.
Celcom sells those modems overpriced. shakehead.gif

There was once ZTE MF622 wave in Garage Sales, everyone was seen throwing price for ZTE MF622. Managed to grab one cheap set for friend in UMS, Sabah. Since she needs Internet connection badly for her thesis, I encouraged her to apply for Celcom D68 and she did. biggrin.gif

Not long after that, nobody was seen selling ZTE MF622 anymore. sad.gif Eventually, helped to buy two sets of Huawei E220 for two of my friends. biggrin.gif
One of them is using for Celcom D68 and another one is using for U-Mobile U58. biggrin.gif
*
yeap, it was indeed overpriced...18 months contract = rm558 & 12 months contract = rm499...
with tat price during the time i register, i can grab a zte oredy...
i donno y at tat time i didn't go & survey survey & ESPECIALLY come to this website check check 1st...
wat a stupid me... doh.gif doh.gif
