wanna ask is there any different for the piping and wiring between inverter aircond and non-inverter aircond?

coz most of the wiring man will ask whether you wanna to install what kind of aircond before they do the piping and wiring. any idea?

thx

piping size differs due to higher pressure of inverter a/c if they use R401A instead of the old R44 (is the number correct?).

Maybe you can consider Hitachi DC inverter aircond. I'm agree with some people telling that this aircond slow during cooling. If you read the guide carefully, you must press high speed button to turn to fast cooling mode. First 30 seconds, the aircond compressor still not working (intelligent design to cool your outside cooling unit before the cooling indoor process). Within 5-15 minute, your room temp is ready. During this process, you can hear the compressor and fan running in higher speed. Speed is running low to high in few different stages. It like CVT gear box or is similiar sound when Putra LRT electric motor.

High speed only running on fast cooling mode and also if 2-3 minutes the tempereture can't reach as you set. In my expirence, I'm not hear compressor sound at night because cooling compressor only running at very low speed because 5 minute enough to recooling the room when sleeping(Thanks to Hitachi DC Inverter).

For your info. This unit come with 2 years (Indoor unit) and 7 years (Compressor Unit) warranty. Bought from Legend Electric SS2 (same row with Public Bank SS2 RM1550 include installation (that time all selling RM1700 include installation). Already 1.5 years old. Working great.

One thing to share, why I chose this Aircond? Filter made from stainless steel. Competitor using "Nylon", it means is not lasting.

Here are my electric usage after changing to Hitachi Inverter 1.0hp compare to previous Japan No. 1 Inverter (change because kena lightning strike, previous model to noisy)

Temperature set: 25 degree celcius
On time: 12 hours a day with silent mode (7.00pm - 7.00am)
Room size; 350 sqm

Previous electric bill:

RM 55-65

With Hitachi Inverter:

RM 42-48

Hope you choose aircond wisely... That why people confuse either to buy Toyota or Proton... This 2 car also got aircond rite?

dear all.. need some advice..
i'm currently thinking of wat aircond to use for my masterbedroom and my living room. I've already layed the normal 1.5hp and 2.5hp copper pipes.

For the 1.5 hp for masterbedroom, I've got so many contracting advice from different aircond installers.
3 installers told me not to get Daikin Inverters as servicing it is a real pain and expensive. Plus it's not really running on inverter technology as it's running the old R22 gas which i don't think is true as inverter technology is not gas based? Not sure who is correct as only one other installer told me Daikin and Mitsubishi it's good (he sells all brands)

So far i'm thinking of getting the Mitsubshi MS-GF13VC 1.5hp (basic) model or the MS-FF13VC (with triple plasma filter) or the Daikin FTKD35DVM Inverter. Any users out there who has experience using both brands?

Anyone using the Mitsubishi MS-FF13VC and how is the electric consumption like as that is rated 5 stars electric effieciency.

JinXXX,

thanks for correcting me. been without the old type for 4 years now and couldnt remember the gas name properly.

cybermaster98,

deluxe got extra features: ionizer, mild dry cooling and this "magic eye" tech. for complete comparison panasonic website is your friend. funny enough: power consumption seems slightly higher for the basic model. wonder why...

This was the note that I received from Panasonic Malaysia!

Please note that installing Panasonic wall mounted Inverter type of air conditioner [1.0hp – 2.5hp using R410A as refrigerant]
requires a minimum of 0.6mm thickness of copper piping and indoor and outdoor units must be connected with 4 wires
(which are live, neutral, communication and earth wires).

The connecting copper piping between indoor and outdoor units needed to be vacuumed before unit operation.
Therefore, please refer to the installer to confirm the above product installation specification.
