I wanted to buy inventer mitsubishi but i was told by my regular aircon service guy, inventer has alot problem and spare parts hard to get, and inventer always break down.

I somehow think he dislike inventer personally.

Any inventer user has problem with their units?

The only salesman will told you this stupid issue on inverter aircond.

Maybe for Mitsubishi electric inverter commission not that good than non inverter aircond only.

Sometime selling others brand would earn more commission than inverter unit..

Lol.. If really easy to spoil. I think Mitsubishi electric won't warranty offer on 2/7 outdoor unit.

Guys,

Need some serious help here pertaining to the aircon units.

I am having some headaches deciding the units typically the HP requirements for my house especially the Ground Floor common area due to having a double volume ceiling clearance about 6.7m after finishing.
Base on BTU calculations, I deduce roughly require more than 70000BTU??!!
The issue here is base on which ceiling level should I input to deduce?
For the rest of the ceiling height is roughly 2.8 - 3m finishing.
I have attached the floor plan with aircon location and HP indicated.
Can anyone advise if the aircon unit(s) proposed HP is sufficient to provide for the house base on experience?

Thanks a million.

Brendon

Cool air will stay at the bottom, just instal the blower about 3m height on the wall.

I think your 1.5hp for a small room and 6.5hp for living and dining is over killed. You want to cool the air above 3m too ?

You can try to work out on this calculation that Panasonic specialist given,
(W)ftx(D)ftx(H)ft x Heat Constant = BTU
Heat Constant:
5 - Non-roof unit
6 - Roof unit
7 - Kitchen / Direct Sunlight

Just my 2 sen!

Hi Aeiou,

Thanks for the feedback.
Actually my common room sizes (apart for my master bedroom) is about average 4.8m by 4.5m and 3.3m height ceiling which computes BTU about 8875. 1HP should be about just nice. I am just concern about over stressing the aircon unit. Hence I consider 1.5HP generally providing around 11000BTU. Your advise is to go back to 1HP?

For the dining area and living hall at ground floor, base on area computed its abit hard as my house from ground floor to first floor are sort of ventilation thru by the corridor near to the staircase, hence might take time to cool the whole house (including first floor) if I will to use a lower HP? I have placed a 1.5HP for the first floor to support the cooling as well incase I need to cool the first floor common area and whole common area on both first floor and ground floor.

Any suggestions?

At that open area for 2 unit 2hp inverter
More saving and more faster cooler.

Guys, I'm thinking to get a 1.5hp aircond. Right now after reading fixed on either Mitsubishi or Daikin. The problem is Mitsubishi hard to come by around SP.

Are these 2 brands good in terms of low noise and longevity?
