I am also looking to get a new outdoor water filter too.
Have been using the Waterco W300 for more then 8 years. Most tanks comes with a 10 years warranty. So, the tank is about to reach its life cycle. Recently was told that the sand needs to be replace. The original supplier of the Waterco then advice to trade in the Waterco and get one of their new filter system. He is now selling another brand of filter.

Anyone have experience changing their sand filter?
Should I change the sand or get a new filter?

BTW, found this interesting article.

Hi bro...if u looking for water filter, will you consider delcol this brand? Its top 3 in the market. I myself represent delcol, pricing and product u can always refer v me.

Normally FRP tank is 1 year warranty while stainless steel 5 year warranty. FYI just the body itself.

About the sand u need to change around 3-5 years depend on the water usage>

last 8 years water filter might expensive but nowadays, its only cost around 1-2k

Auto and manual different around rm200-300 only

u can opt for traditional water filter which we called it as rocket filter as its cheaper, 20 years ago lolx...

some of my catalog

2 brand in my mind, one is waterco and the other one is diamond.
What the other brand that you suggest?
*
Diamond are famous v indoor water filter only and because their name quite powerful in the market, the price are slightly over price then others.... Like u compare Compact and HP

btw, speaking of water filter.....is it really compulsory? sweat.gif is they are way to test that our water is contaminated or u simply assume we need to use this when we see our water have yellowish kindda of color.. unsure.gif im in the process of buying a house, but water filter is not in the budget or plan...just don't want to foresee this as an escape issue in the future sweat.gif i've been staying in klang valley for like 10 years...4years study...6years renting house..but never use this filter things.... sweat.gif

Anybody know how to securely connect the pipe to the water filter device as highlighted in red?
It seems the plastic connection is not securely tight after turning the connector.
And upon turn on the water with minimal pressure, it always cause the water to drip...

It's really irritating whenever doing a maintenance on the filter... mad.gif mad.gif

Thanks

I'm not sure what I'm looking at, but is your washer/gasket worn? You could change that.

If in the house just me and my wife or one more kid, I will just buy the mineral water from market. RM110 can buy 110 bottle of 1.5l from tesco at the cost of RM1/bottle. If not mistaken tesco mineral water cost 99sen/botle. Divide a month would consume about 5,2l perday. That is enough for 3person. I guess mineral water would be better than those water filter. hmm.gif

Sorry to give comment, actually you like their service or the quality of the water filter from the system?
i think the most important point is the water that filter out from the water filter system right?

Eh.. I don't understand your comment.

I just point out what can buy from rm110. Mineral water better of filter water better. rm4k-5k for a water filter is crazy.

actually we dont need any water filter system. Water with bacteria can increase our immune system. Do u know, ppl in the 3rd world like india, they drink directly from water paip normally. Nothing happened to them. Some hav lived over 70 or 80 with that water. But for us, if we go there drink their water, even being boiled twice n filtered, u sure will get sick. Drink the water in hotel there also get sick. if u strong enough, go hospital. if u not strong enough, sure got chance to c gandhi~~

It is not the bacteria that is filter out. (For my water filter purpose)

I just want to filter out the rust, soil and the foreign particle that from the rust pipe and etc. You can see those thing from your normal filter.

The water filter is more bacteria accumulate than without filter. So I still boil the water even filter out the water. By the way I just use normal cheap water filter only.

I don't trust those crazy expensive filter which said can drink straight away after filter. If the filter is new, I can understand. But if been using for a while, I don't no how many million bacteria accumulate in there.
