i'm also stuck in between for outdoor water filter.

either Puregen or Nesh, which offers filter up to 0.01 micron. but nesh is around rm1k more expensive because of the patented pvc material.

Finally, I have decided to go with 3M Indoor and Outdoor filter.
And as expected, the $$$ still go to LYN favorite sanitary vendor with great service--->Zheilwane from Builder Hardware...

Why 3M, you may ask
Due to it performance which certified by NSF42 & 53 and the cost effectiveness/ value

I have posted the above deal from PureGen back in Dec 2011, I have it installed since Feb 2012 and using it until now. Perhaps is time for me to write a small review about Puregen POE water filter (Sand Type)....

Sorry, I have moved my review to Outdoor Water Filter Thread - http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=51276134

The by pass valve not really reliable, after some sun shine, it sometime leak especially when you switch on the water outside to the max. I will change out to metal type myself when I have time. Brought it already just need to find time.

Leak? The bypass valve is same as the other two valves. I think it was not done properly.

Worry about sun, you can cover it with something like cloth, plastic, etc or even aluminium foil, the one use for baking.

Yes, the same valves, it will leak after sometime, especially when you switch it. If you leave it ideal is ok. I like to switch it because cleaning floor don't need a filter water.

The hot sun and uv is degrade the material. Metal type is better.
