Looks a lot like my installation. haha!

Kamion, your's look neater than mine. I wish mine was installed as simple as yours, however i have the piping (bottom part, from outside meter to inside) pre-installed by my plumber during the renovation job prior to my decision of water filter. Hence, I have too wide space at the bottom piping setup with too large piping diameter. So finally end up with this zigzag piping setup from 3M installer.... doh.gif

Anyway, i think the 3M unit still look nicer than the bulky conventional sand filter....hehe
Morover, i can just forget about weekly backwash which i always fail to carry out when I was using D brand outdoor unit...

You can save space with this installation
[attachmentid=2865504]

Compact looks better isn't it?
*
Ya Stevie8, nice idea; but the snake piping(zigzag piping to get the correct pipe position and diameter) might be at the other side of the wall otherwise conceal job might needed. Anyway, good idea to share....

These are membrane filter, still need back wash, my parent house using one. Every 2+ years need to change membrane and chemical wash once a year, if your house usage volume is high need to change frequent. Same goes to 3m more volume you use higher the frequency to change.

Membrane you need daily back wash. 3m you don't but change fillet cartridge when water pressure is low.

Both is good, at least washing clothes it won't turn brown.

I prefer sand filter instead of membrane filter for outdoor.
membrane clog very fast if your area water is very dirty and also required daily back wash. If you have installed the auto back wash timer, then no so ma fan.

Bro,
I am looking for a water filter, considering 3M under the sink. My condo already have Bacfree water filter outside for the whole condo, do I need to install AP902 inside my unit  ?
*
Installation AP902 is optional but having it would b better bcoz
1) Ur water will b cleaner and the indoor filter & other tap fittings will last longer.
2) It is much cheaper since u r goin to bundle it with the indoor filter.

actually just install an outdoor sand filter outside to filter all the dirt enough la... just to make sure water is clear... just cook / boil your water before drink... no need buy those expansive and need cartridge change frequently... how i know? i'm water treatment specialist in my factory... we treat underground water as what JBA doing... put many chlorine to kill bacteria...
*
so .. u drink water directly from tap?

I noticed that with my GE sand filter. If the incoming source is very dirty, such as right after water supply resumes after a water cut, the filtered water is still quite dirty. Membrane filters would not have such a problem.

How much is the replacement for the 3M outdoor filter?

Yes common problem for sand filters, and put to much sand you lower the pressure and back cleaning will take longer.

Think is about 350+-

Mine yet to replace.

Such a strong brand..Here is the link I search :
http://www.cleansui.com/en/product/pitcher/CP007E.html

What in my mind when 1st time saw this: looks like Blender..lol...
Btw, it's selling point is portable and mobile can carry here and there..They target for those who working 8 hours in office..

U all can have a look..And I just bought 1 because it is alkaline water after filter..So that i can bring to my office rather than i keep buy mineral water..
*

can you share some picture on your coway...and how much you paid initial in total.? I am looking whether outdoor or indoor only or both..I do not have so much money to spend on going basis..try to be cost saving.
*
er....ok i will try to take some picture for u tonight. I buy off 1 time. in and out total rm5100. if just the apolo for outdoor should be 2k-3k. I can't rmb. the reason I choose this is because my company are using their product, im quite satisfy with the water result. and the outer skin is made on stainless steel. so no cracking or need additional cloth to cover it. And I like the backwash function, it is to clean up the filter, I can use the backwash water wash my car porch. But still every 6month will have a technician come to my house to clean up the filter in a more proper way. smile.gif
