Just realised that the replacement parts for Tupperware Nano Filter is very expansive!!
- Nano Ceram filter cartridge = $480 per year/ 5000 liters !!

My other choice is PHILIPS; about RM1,400 & replacement filter catridge cost ~RM 250/yrs @ RM125 per filter /6months/ 3000 litres.
But I dont like & dont need the UV; because I do boil before drink.

Might consider DIY ( combine with Panasonic PJ-37MRF ) as suggested by PJusa...but I not familiar with DIY...maybe PJusa kind enough to share a photo of his 'setup' + tips ?

if u hv UV, u actually dont have to boil the water...boiling process kills viruses, BUT in order to really kill most viruses, u have to bring the water to boil and leave it boiling for 15-20 mins...by then alot of that water may have evaporated >_<

the 3M filter has NSF?....u know what NSF standards they have? i would assume minimum also have standard 52?

I know what NSF. 3M is NSF Std 42 & NSF Std 53 tested and certified. Amway also NSF Std 42 & NSF Std 53 tested and certified, but amway have additional certification because it have UV.

Serofax, many people think boiling kill all bad things. Actually not. Also RO water not good for long term storage because it does not contain chlorine, and is best not to filter all chlorine before coming to the house water tank.

I have small children below 3years old drinking the water...so we prefer to boil.

Seems Panasonic PJ-37MRF does not hv any NSF or WQA certifications...cant find stated anywhere.

Just found that Member price for Tupperware Nano filter = $360 per year/ 5000 liters !
- a bit high price but claimed to effectively removes 158 contaminants!

Things with filter will need to be replace. Can't wash. Washable filter won't be able to filter small particle.

the best is still boil water. our country water system not trustable. dirty what filter also no use. if dirty will cause Diarrhea.

only high temperature can kill bacteria. passing thru filter and not boil water still have germs. dont be lazy, drink boil water is the best.

filter is not 100% safe. germs still exist. hidden recurring fees for maintaining filter is expensive

like saying the filter only catches the bacteria and give it a place to "grow" on

Boiling will not kill all unless you boil it longer say 15 to 20mins. Well unless you put into pressure boiling. UV light kill more than boiling.

The Panasonic PJ-37MRF sounds good for its price. Any idea where to get the best deal?

People say R.O. water is very 'cold' for our body. It will cause long term coughing. Is it true?

Puregen vs Nesh Membrane filters (puregen using PAN and Nesh using PVC). Nesh is like 1k more expensive. any comments?
3M oudoor filter. I cant tell from website if it's sand or membrane filter. any comments?


Indoor filters -
Nesh qoozo - adv: ozone layer to wash vege,fruits, fishes, etc. disadv: actual water filter is normal like others. comments?
E-Spring - adv: many certifications with UV tech. disadv: pricey and will this UV kill any good bacteria also? comments?

Philips also have an excellent filter that's almost as good as Amway at almost half the price. Also with UV lamp. Forgot the name.

I recommend Bosch, Siemens, Miele, Elba & Electrolux...

I bought the 3M filters. Outdoor AP-902 (RM900) and indoor AP Easy Complete (RM650), inc. installation. I asked the installer to do the bypass piping for the outdoor unit, add RM80 pay to installer. Next time I know anyone going to US, will ask them to buy the filters.

Why do you need a bypass piping?
