as for any filter claiming to be able to filter 100% bacteria/viruses, they have to product detailed reports or certifications in black and white as proof...plus what bacteria it filters.

the numbers "100%" is just a marketing gimmick provided its justified black n white and certified by reknown parties - eg NSF, WQA.
*
Take Panasonic PJ-37MRF as an example. They don't claim that their water purifier can filter 100% bacteria but it is written 99.99% bacteria reduction.
The remaining of 0.001% could be untraceable/unknown bacteria.

Besides that, they don't even claim that water through the purifier is safe to drink.
For that, i think the source of the water is also important. If the source of water is poisonous, it is not safe to drink even with the best water filtration.
Do you agree with that?

If you are so concern about 100% bacteria removal, i suggest you to boil the water.

There isn't any scientific evidence to demonstrate the benefits of the energized water. Water filter most important function is to filter impurities such that it is suitable for drinking. If you follow this principle then you don't really need anything extra.

These energized water, alkaline water are mostly originated for JP and KR - two countries where fads are norm. That said, some of the "theories" seem plausible but not proven. I have just gotten the latest Panasonic TK7585 ionized water filter just to try out the difference. At least I know the Panasonic water filter does indeed is a good water filtering device I.e effective in getting rid of harmful substances at least. Ionized water is just an added feature to me

Yes. It is alkaline ionizer. You need to change the filter about yearly bit this depends on the usage. The electrodes once is gone it is gone. You can still use it for normal filtered water but it has no more ionized water

Nowadays there are too many water filters to choose (i think it is only happened in Malaysia).
Many are just a marketing gimmick.

Why spend thousand of ringgit when actually water from the tap is already safe to drink?

For those who don't want to boil water or not so confident with the water quality from the tap,
below are among the best and affordable water filters in the market. They can eliminate nearly 100% of bacteria.

Panasonic water purifier PJ-37MRF selling at around RM300+.

OR similar but slightly more expensive from Coway P-07I

It depend on your diet. What I know if your diet mostly acidic, akaline water will help you neutralize the ph. Another way, cut slice of lime put inside your water to drink. And ionizer will refresh you. But I don't no ionizer water can refresh internally. hmm.gif But confirm ionizer can refresh you externally.

Is that cheap? They have 2 model for this alkaline water filter.

Becarefull to put under the sink. Some water filter can't handle continues pressure and will bust the casing. Specially night when water pressure is higher. I have this bad experience with anway water filter. Flood my hall and kitchen when morning wakeup. Even after put a pressure regulator to reduce the pressure.

1) I saw this panasonic alkaline machine at Best Denki subang parade... original price RM1999 now Rm1699 (i think
for 2 units only)
but i am looking at cheaper pana normal water filters... the red, white blue and the white pink colour ones...

If we compared to stainless steel water filter eg. Delcol..etc... (with doulton carbon slim filters) compared with Pana
water filter... what is the differents in terms of features, maintenance , etc ?

i think normal doulton filter cost about Rm40 + only
