Hi all,

Need some suggestions for home water filter. After some reading outdoor system seems good. But i just move in into an apartment. Unfortunately no outside modification allowed.

So i'm looking for an indoor system. Something that can be installed near the sink. Been doing some research online but i'm a bit skeptical on products that promote energy water/alkaline health thingy yadayada.. just a solid filter that remove unwanted stuff. My little baby got itches from the water now..

Any suggestion is appreciated..

I'm using eSpring from Amway. No marketing term like Energy/Alkaline water. Got NSF 42/53/55 Certified. NSF 55 is Ultraviolet certified which can direct drink without boiling because UV already killed all the Viruses/Bacterial. As for NSF 42/53 is minimum requirement for a filter must have.

If your baby got itches from the water, I think you need another solution for bathing/shower. Why not allow modification? The Management so strictly?

I think its better if it's outside system. But cant do much about that now.. as for now for a baby bath it is sufficient for an indoor system. Just put the water from the sink into her bath tub.

How much for the espring system btw

Original price at RM3200, but last time I bought got trade in program, so I able to get rebate up to RM600. I'm not sure now still got the trade in or not la... U have to buy from those Amway distributor. Or you try walk in to your nearest Amway Shop. Where u from?

Hi Kevin, which part of Cheras do you stay? I have customers in Mahkota & Sg Long, I based around Cheras too. I can assist you in this.

Thanks.

Quality water is very imperative, some places like Taiping, Kelantan, etc water source is intact and minimal boiling is sufficient. In Seremban our water is relatively good compared to Klang Valley. In additional to that at my home we got a quality usa made POE sand filter only cost hundreds but its doing a great job and after visiting my grandparents in Taiping I got the Bacfree BS8 POU filter (Rm860). Now I can enjoy quality water without boiling. Bacfree British brand have been in Malaysia for more than 30 years and proven its reliability. The BS8 only requires changing its Switzerland made filter (Swisstech) once or twice a year depending on the water quality. Cost Rm 180 super easy installation. Also provided is a simple sponge for cleaning the Swisstech element whenever required. My next will be to just get a quality POE filter after like 3 or 4 years.

I'm not selling or promoting here. Just my 2 cents that fellow Malaysians need to consider getting a clean drinking water whatever it is boiling, eSpring, 3M, Coway, Bacfree etc depending on your water condition n budget.

Not trying spoil any brand here. But to be honest, I highly stay away from Diamond brand, misleading commercial/advertising. Give fake certification claims, what else do you still want to believe their product? Taiwan/HongKong banned them from using Energy Water this marketing term and end up they have to change to Mineral Water marketing term. So is not recommended.

Be a smart consumer, don't simply blind purchase advertised products. You do not need a alkaline water, just get a NSF 42 and NSF 53 certified water filter. So far I found that the 3M brand and eSpring brand from Amway company are with the above certified, but eSpring got bonus NSF 55 UV to kill bacteria/viruses etc certified.

Maintenance fee normally annually or usage, whichever comes first.

I'm currently interested to buy the Coway Apollo Outdoor Filter (Rm2700) + the Water Purifier Petit CHP-06D (RM3400).

Free maintenance for 1 year, rm500 yearly maintenance for the 2nd year & above.

Any users have used Coway products before? How's the performance? Water is really filtered well?

Spoke to one of the seller here. I may need to get an additional water pump to boost my water pressure due to low water pressure caused by using the filters.

Appreciate your inputs! smile.gif

TBH, I have to admit that Coway really the best sales after service and awarded in certain categories in Malaysia. sweat.gif If you don't mind you can leave your contact here so that any other LYN member here who wish to buy Coway might able to contact you as well. I hope you not a dupe account here. shakehead.gif
