Philips used to have one in Malaysia. Manufactured in India. Very cheap. But it does have the necessary NSF 42/53 standard so definitely worth a look. I didn't because I couldn't find any dealer having it so getting replacement filters will be a problem. In fact, of the few I contacted, they don't even know what I am talking about

Like I said earlier, just make sure your filter has NSF or WQA certification 42/53. If they don't, just walk away.

Not trying spoil any brand here. But to be honest, I highly stay away from Diamond brand, misleading commercial/advertising. Give fake certification claims, what else do you still want to believe their product? Taiwan/HongKong banned them from using Energy Water this marketing term and end up they have to change to Mineral Water marketing term. So is not recommended.

Be a smart consumer, don't simply blind purchase advertised products. You do not need a alkaline water, just get a NSF 48 and NSF 53 certified water filter. So far I found that the 3M brand and eSpring brand from Amway company are with the above certified, but eSpring got bonus NSF 55 UV to kill bacteria/viruses etc certified.

Maintenance fee normally annually or usage, whichever comes first.

Technically, Diamond is a joke before.

But I notice they now say theirs have NSF 42/53. If they do have them, should be OK now.

Yes. I know which Philips Water Purifier model you talking about. No longer produce already, I believe.

Nope, just one single filter inside the Diamond Water System have the NSF 42 certified. Not the whole Water Purifier System Certified by NSF. So end of the day, still the joke in the water purifier industry.

Ha. Some filter manufacturer keeps peppering their brochure with the word "NSF". But no details which NSF Standard they adhere to.

Filter A : The world's best impregnated ceramic filter, which has been awarded NSF Certification, thoroughly removes bacteria and impurities like dirt, silt and rust.

Filter B : NSF certified activated carbon removes unpleasant odours and colours, while natural mineral stones regulate mineral content.

Filter C : Composed of NSF certified Grade A activated carbon and a KDF metal ion converter (meeting the standards stipulated by the FDA and EPA of the United States), this filter completely removes heavy metals, chlorine, and other chemical contaminants.

Filter D : The CE2000PI Energy Conversion technology of Japan effectively breaks water molecules into the smallest possible clusters; making it easier for our body to absorb. It also increases the dissolved oxygen content in the water.

Filter E : A high-tech ID2 energy stabilizer with far infrared technology stabilizes energy in the water to keep water molecule clusters at the smallest size for a prolonged period of time.

Filter F : High-density NSF certified activated carbon combined with natural magnetic stones help balance the water to a mild alkaline level and increase the number of calcium ions to further enhance health.

This is very common with Malaysian. Very often, they will say a thing is good or bad. But couldn't give you the reasons for saying that.

So we have people saying Reverse Osmosis is good but couldn't tell you what good or bad about it.

We have people saying Lynas is nuclear reactor but couldn't give you reason for saying that except the word "radiation".

If just want pure H2O, just boil the water and condense it back.
When water is too clean, it will create RP effect on our body and remove out all the mineral needs.
Then we have to take all sort of chemical supplements which is more damaging to our body.

Yes, World Health Organization has a circular saying "de-mineralized" water like those from distillation and Reverse Osmosis "is not the best choice for drinking".

These few years have some new trend. Some people in the RO water industry are smart enough to invent something called "Mineral Tank" or "Mineral Filter" in order to adding back those mineral have been filtered out through the process of RO.

So they really thought we Human are same as Fish living in the Aquarium. sweat.gif The real question is, is those so called "Mineral" added back into the RO water are really benificial to us in the long run and what exactly those "Mineral" came from/how its made? I guess some people here know what I'm talking about. hmm.gif

Too much work. Get a proper water filter system, turn the tap, and we get clean water to drink.

I notice this PVC valve after long exposure on the sun, it will become sensative to pressure change. When you off the main incoming, the presure may have switch high from incoming to low. And that cause the PVC valve leak. The PVC valve on my 3M filter had this problem, it happen right after Sybas water distruption (after 1 year of usage), same for my mom house.

I end up change the PVC vavle to Brass, it cost me around 20+ each, and i need 3. Still no time change my mom units, but temporary I managed to fix it by just turn on, off the valve few time.

Wow, metal piping, sure can last long. But you will die faster.
Just use poly pipe(black pipe) which is more durable than PVC and less reactive than metal pipe. As for your outdoor filter, you can paint it black or cover it.
Have to know that, water supplier will inject chlorine follow their stock. Over inject will cause the water to be lower pH and under inject will result to algae formation.
