It was not compressor parts. Not covered if you not buy extended warranty.

Never bought electrical items with extended warranty but seems like Samseng needs it but them it will jack up the cost so might as well buy other brand.

Well, I went against the flow and ordered a Hisense RQ568N4AWU from Onking for RM2,399. Their shop wont match the price offered online saying different department. My cousin intro me Haier IM525 but cost RM3k. I'm gonna give it a try and see how it fares after a couple of years. I dont cook much thus only using it to store cakes, drinks, milk, ice-cream and also nuggets etc.

Anyway, fridges looks almost the same across the board, it's hard to choose. I did shortlist a few namely Sharp and Hitachi 4 doors, both also around RM3k (Sharp got offer price since SIL work there). Was interested with the Hitachi because my mom 4 doors from 7 or 8 years ago still working fine and consume just 2.5kwh/day but saw a fella posted this freezer (I shortlisted) have ice buildup so gave up. Sharp also taken over by Foxconn.

I also tried to google about different compressor and found out that Hitachi already transfer their compressor factory in Thai to Midea in 2020 while Panasonic closed down its compressor factory in Singapore and now makes them in Melaka. I think judging from the similarities with all these fridge, chances are many of them are OEM now.

Hey bro, I just recently purchased a few household items for my new place and this is what I did

Since Harvey norman has this policy of having the best price in the market.. (https://www.harveynorman.com.my/customer-services/shop-with-confidence.html)

I compared a legitimate shopee product against theirs and they honoured the price.. Some salesman will say can't match shopee price as it is company's policy.. I managed to find the right guy at Sunway Pyramid to help me with the lowest price.. I got a frdge and washer/dryer from him... I wanted an oled from LG but unfortuantely they have fully sold it out so I got the TV from Shopee..

What I like about harvey norman is that they will come up to your place and install the product as well..

Onking is really fast, received my fridge.

Just powered on after 4hours wait (delivery guy told me 2hours). I'm so glad to find the power consumption is much better than my old fridge. Old fridge at 170-200w, now just at half before inverter even kicked in.

Remove the graph while waiting for power draw curve to stabilize. Maxing out at 150w. Probably cooling just started.

I just happened to have the meter changed last week. The old one (black) already 35 years so I would say it is inaccurate. I also had a couple Tapo P110 with energy monitoring. The old one just sap too much (4.5Kwh daily) which prompt me to purchase a new one after measuring my mom 8 years old inverter fridge using just 2.7kwh daily.

I think the fridge finally cool down. Kinda satisfied with the power draw. It has been a miserable week without fridge.

Anyone using Hisense multi door big fridge? Are they as good as the traditional Japanese brands like panasonic, hitachi, sharp in terms of reliability and energy efficiency?

Inverter (for motors) Hitachi and Pana also sell (for commercial/industrial use).
Rest don't make inverter in their respective group.

Just bought a RQ568 4 doors for RM2,399 during 11.11 sales.

I only used it for ice cream, cakes, drinks, steamboat cold ingredients, milk etc.

Energy consumption is pretty good. Daily about 1.2-1.4kwh.

My mom is using a 8 years old hitachi 4 doors and I also did a check on her fridge (not sure the series, probably 700l or so). Her fridge used 1.7kwh per day and her fridge get open more frequent because she cooks.
