Shopee/Lazada sellers tend to have cheaper price, but best to make sure they are using their own delivery fleet instead of general couriers

if you want to be safe just compare prices from major stores eg: Harvey Norman, Senheng/SenQ, TBM then go for the cheapest one

Most of my big electrical things are from HLK. Next is TBM.  Onking twice and only small items.

Thank all for the advice. Wen to Senheng and Harvey Norman last week, Senheng price is cheaper with extra warranty if you joined the PlusOne membership.
This week will visit HLK and TBM to check price too rclxms.gif

Guys,

What's the energy usage like for say 500L fridge? Was considering whether or not I should change mine. My current one from more than 10 years ago using about 3kwh per day.

Nowadays most new refrigerator use inverter.
U should get better energy consumption.
Changed mine from 10y old samsung 340L to Electrolux 606L (inv).
More or less same energy consumption.

maybe can take a look at electrical store, find the model that you looking for and see if they have the ST star rating sticker. It will have the annual consumption figure there. Do your own maths using that

I'm trying to buy online. I can't find the figures on manufacturer website. I'm thinking to get a rough estimates to see whether it's worth getting a fridge.

Can still survey in store first before buying online mah

Anyway few days ago I went and see a 465L Panasonic bottom freezer fridge. Its rated 4 stars and the consumption according to the label is average 407 kwh per year. Top freezer model should be more efficient

Thanks bro... That should be sufficient. I guess I'm well over since I think my current fridge will go over 100kwh per month. Better dump it.

Went to JH Home today to survey fridge since it;s nearby. Apparently side-by-side fridge dont have energy rating. I guess I have to monitor my mom's fridge to see if it's worth it.

Surprisingly a Hitachi 565L 2 door top freezer rated at 340kWh annually. To think that my old fridge is doing 4kWh per day is absurd. Also managed to peek at aircond and get a nasty surprise. A R410a inverter ac energy rating almost double the power of a R32 inverter ac. No wonder my son room Samsung windfree only recorded usage between 1.7-2.3kWh per day while my old Samsung triangle inverter record at least 5-6kWh.

Hey bro, I just recently purchased a few household items for my new place and this is what I did

Since Harvey norman has this policy of having the best price in the market.. (https://www.harveynorman.com.my/customer-services/shop-with-confidence.html)

I compared a legitimate shopee product against theirs and they honoured the price.. Some salesman will say can't match shopee price as it is company's policy.. I managed to find the right guy at Sunway Pyramid to help me with the lowest price.. I got a frdge and washer/dryer from him... I wanted an oled from LG but unfortuantely they have fully sold it out so I got the TV from Shopee..

What I like about harvey norman is that they will come up to your place and install the product as well..

Salesman told me that those fridge with side-by-side doors, SBS (instead of top-down TD) do not come with STAR rating or annual consumption data, is that true?
Another one said generally these side-bu-side consume double the electricity and higher repair cost.

Spouse wants the Samsung RS62R5031SL SBS (680L, @rm3750, 2years, free oven) but I prefer Samsung RT21M6211SG (670L,@rm2850, 2y, free vacuum cleaner).

Had bad experience with Samsung products 1st washing machine, then aircon, all didnt last. Bought the fridge cos like the features and size but really regret.

It was not compressor parts. Not covered if you not buy extended warranty.
