All I can say is that Panasonic get some product from Hitachi. If you you look at the multi-door, Panasonic resembles Hitachi but usually slight different in exterior look and also capacity. Even last time camcoder was also exactly like Hitachi. Ceiling fan Panasonic get from KDK.

This way Panasonic can widen portfolio without need to spend too much on R&D. The other companies get get more sales.

I think SBS easier to find things. I also bought french door, and coming from conventional 2doors, man, it does feel annoying when you kinda have to switch between left and right door. So you need to place things on either left or right side for easier access. Worse is when you placed them in the center and you kinda had to open the door wider in order to reach it.

Well, I dont actually hate these "Japanese" brands but I think the premium for these brands are not worthy sometimes. Unless you can find them during warehouse sale for much much cheaper, otherwise I would rather buy a heavily discounted China branded appliances and replaced them in 4-5 years time (since some brands actually came with 3 years warranty compared to 1 year for Japanese branded) instead of relying on the reputation of Japanese engineered products and hope they last a decade.

Recently I was given an old Elba fridge that was not working. So I google and pinpoint the fault down to the compressor with a faulty relay. Strange thing is the Elba fridge had a LG compressor. When I went to parts shop, they told me parts for LG need to quote and waiting time could take up to a month. After some thinking, went to nearby service center for Elba brand and they blasted me for saying it has a LG compressor and it was impossible. Finally managed to locate another parts shop and found a compatible relay for just RM9. Took the chance and got the fridge working again.

Got this last October at dadada. Same shop at ShitPee sell with RM300-500 higher price. 4 star inverter.

Lol... if lack the know-how probably close down already... he has been there for 20 years. I assume the cost to repair cannot justify already and people sold as scrap maybe.

Well, if there is one thing I disliked about buying from shopee and lazada is the delivery fees. Only very few of them offer free shipping.

This price can buy a 700L Sharp french door at Onking year end sale (that I just went to) with some change for groceries. French door dont have star rating but judging from my mom and my fridge, I would say it's comparable.
