What is your budget? I bought a LG french door 647L one at around $3.2k from PH Store.

Hi, I using LG French door 687l purchase $3.3k at lazada PH store. Compare Samsung with LG and I will stick with Lg for fridge as I had bad experience with Samsung when I was staying in Australia previously.

Salesman told me that those fridge with side-by-side doors, SBS (instead of top-down TD) do not come with STAR rating or annual consumption data, is that true?
Another one said generally these side-bu-side consume double the electricity and higher repair cost.

Spouse wants the Samsung RS62R5031SL SBS (680L, @rm3750, 2years, free oven) but I prefer Samsung RT21M6211SG (670L,@rm2850, 2y, free vacuum cleaner).

So far so good, running perfectly
for my SBS R-S800P2M since 2018, but I think at that point they didn't stick the energy stars sticker so I can't tell you the kwh rating
2 door latest series P8: R-VG490P8M since Mar 2020 before MCO, this one 5 stars and 364 kwh per year.. technically one electric kwh unit per day to operate

Price to size value for money will be the P8 series
For bragging rights of big big fridge you will need a SBS one

If you use freezer a lot and need lots of freezer room, not so much as fridge - then the SBS model I have is good.
Both also inverter model so very power saving.
SBS one got digital panel selection on whether you want power cooling or energy saving operation. P8M 2 door is just analog.. I set it to the middle setting also very cold, ice cream is nice and hard that you really gotta dig in with the spoon.
I think it also depends on your space available. For smaller places, the 2 door P8M series would be a great choice.

As a sidenote..the P7M-1 seems like a refresh of the old P7M chassis but not sure what is their new feature.

If budget is a major concern, then can go for Sharp SBS or their larger series 500-600L.. so far my gf family using Sharp fridge also no issue.

Carefull to check NR-BZ600PSMY upon delivery, the finishing of the fridge not good, i end up getting refund and bought samsung (RT21M6211SG) net 589L gross 670L it was good finishing n interior was properly wrap n with sheets of film to protect from scratches

how's RT21M6211SG so far?? mind to share how much did you get it for? was thinking to get this model as well..

In my opinion, Sharp brand is a better choice but the final decision is yours.

Hi guys. For a budget of 3.5k. Which do you recommend? Went to a local shop, they recommend a Midea 4 door, don't remember the model since my mum asked for side open door but it's net capacity is below 500L which is not enough for my household. Should have heeded your advice and avoid Samseng products like a plague.
Samsung products dont last, my Samsung RT21 fridge's freezer just gave problem after only 2 years, repaired yesterday n it costed rm400. My previous Mitsubishi & LG very lasting. Had bad experience with Samsung products 1st washing machine, then aircon, all didnt last. Bought the fridge cos like the features and size but really regret.

No cover by warranty?

It was not compressor parts. Not covered if you not buy extended warranty.
