Shopee sellers: Anyone have bought fridges from Shopee before? if buy from shopee, the delivery will not do the installation right? So buyer has to do it themselves is it? How about the 10-years or 12-years warranty? Can we still get it from the manufacturer?

Yeah but still it does consume more power, some people do mind that I feel. So far I havent spotted any bottom freezers with 5 star energy rating. Even the latest Panasonic bottom freezers with all the power saving tech only manages 4 star

It appears that Hitachi GLS SEA activities have been transferred to a new JV entity called Arçelik Hitachi Home Appliances. It's no surprise that I'm having trouble contacting customer assistance.

Interestingly, CEO Zafer Üstüner was the former Regional Head of APAC and General Manager of Thailand at Beko, one of the brands under Arçelik.

I'll be concerned after reading this section of Wikipedia.

Still recommend to buy Hitachi fridge ?  Worry about the after sales service.

I don't have any suggestions. To illustrate, even though most side-doors, multi-doors, and French doors do not have a Malaysia ST rating, an inverter fridge with a bigger 700L capacity, such as Hitachi R-WB850P5M, can still save electricity. Yes, avoid Hitachi for the time being due to its existing after-sales support. Since I purchased a Hitachi, this is my problem to solve.

Just bought the sharp inverter 320L fridge for my renting apt yesterday at home pro for RM1450. The old fidge is 330l Hitachi 11 years old and rubber around the fridge door damaged and not cool anymore.

It will be tough to find a fridge brand that is equivalent to the top freezer SuperBig2 Hitachi R-VG750PM-1 at the asking price MYR 3XXX.

I bought the fridge this year beginning.

Pros:

1. Spacious in each compartment, bright and come with automatic ice maker
2. Very quiet and stylish
3. There are two wheel at the bottom of fridge which allow you to move it for cleaning purpose.

Cons:

1. Some parts such as vegetable compartment has the plastic feel, giving user impression that the materials are not solid.
2. Surface of the fridge get stain easily by fingerprint.

It is difficult to view actual unit in the physical shop as they don't usually display this unit. I went to a few shop only found it.

Thanks a lot for recommendation and yes you are right non of these model can beat Hitachi R-VG750PM-1. Sharp or Toshiba is the best I can get if i want to skip Hitachi.

Actually, I requested the retailer where I got my refrigerator for assistance in obtaining the missing physical manual, but there has been no update since then, and no e-manual is even available from the Hitachi Malaysia website for that model. After contacting and emailing Arcelik Hitachi Home Appliances Sales Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., there was no response. Finally, I was able to obtain a soft copy of the manual via the Internet, albeit for a different market.

what do you need to find out in the manual book?
