Just bought the sharp inverter 320L fridge for my renting apt yesterday at home pro for RM1450. The old fidge is 330l Hitachi 11 years old and rubber around the fridge door damaged and not cool anymore.

Haha i got survey sharp as well but seems dont have the matte colour, might still consider them. So far i see toshiba surface colour n texture is nice but somehow feels toshiba abit unpopular. I try n survey Haier coming days, i see alot ppl recommend Haier as well.

Not fingerprint magnet  smile.gif

I'd say just buy it. Fridge in general is generic in design and operation. Any well known brand would be just about the same. Perhaps buy the one which is closer in support to your address.  biggrin.gif

Haha its ok, not a fan of fancy or decoration, just plain n simple will do. might survey Haier fridge someday.

Bought a 4yrs old T fridge, it didn't live long enough to celebrate its 6th birthday.
Need I say more? laugh.gif

We're running two hitachis now and still keeping a 1990's mitsubishi.

Read these from a US site:

*Paying more doesn’t get you a better refrigerator. They all have a 7-10 year lifespan nowadays.

*As a rule of thumb: the fewer bells and whistles, the better.

*Try to keep the ice maker in the freezer, not in the fridge door. It might mean foregoing a door dispenser, but it will save you headaches and money in the long run.

Hmmmm i guess i'll just get a small fridge then. Actually wanted to get 2/4door fridge so that i could measure kitchen cabinet accurately and wont leave much space on the sides, but since im staying alone, i guess i just get a normal top/btm mount fridge first n lets see if ID could make removable cabinet (beside fridge) incase i chg into bigger fridge in the future.

There's a saying when it comes to buying fridges.... get the largest you could afford or fit into the space at the time. Otherwise when it comes to upgrading, its gonna be another hassle to dispose off your old fridge. Not easy finding a buyer for second hand fridge.
*
At this moment i dont think will upgrade unless like 5-10 years, or usually only upgrade after the current 1 spoiled. Haha.

Totally personal preference and limited by your space. There's  no pros and cons between the 2. Its like comparing a car and a bus.

Some people might not like 4 doors since sometimes you may need to open 2 doors to reach the whole compartment eg: accesing the drawer
*
Ahh ic... I just realized something else. 4door compartment area is wider, just like top/btm mount while 2door is narrow.

I am using a Sharp French door design and a Hitachi Side by Side. Both also 700+ litres.

Conclusion ..

I still prefer the Sharp unit.
*
Yea, i was planning to get either tis 2 brand or haier, but i guess i will go for haier due to budget n the matte surface. Haha!
