QUOTE(SIEWBAO @ Jun 7 2022, 05:35 PM) Exactly! I bought it used, from a foreign student who (bought as new) then finished the course and sold it cheap Cost me 400 for a 350L gross model (GR-35 something) non-inverter; CAPEX very cheap Lasted 2 years so that's 200/year and its BER (beyond economical repair) Bought a 400L nett for 2.4k incl locked slot (delivery first thing on Sat morning, since i stay in apartment that's the best timing).. ok la CAPEX a bit steep in the beginning if it lasts 10 years which it should - that's 240/year for a brand new inverter fridge for fridge alone (empty unit) less than 8/month TNB bill - OPEX very cheap This post has been edited by ceo684: Jun 7 2022, 09:48 PM

QUOTE(C_ST @ Jun 4 2022, 07:39 PM) I actually bought my Sharp Fridge from PH Store. Within Klang Valley, they send to me using thier own delivery fleet. Everyhting is ok, and the guy in charge of the store's shopee acc is called Aaron or something, don't expect for immediate reply, but at least he will reply. Thanks. Have just bought that Panasonic fridge from them, delivered in two days, their delivery also did the installation. In short-recommended!

Read these from a US site: *Paying more doesn’t get you a better refrigerator. They all have a 7-10 year lifespan nowadays. *As a rule of thumb: the fewer bells and whistles, the better. *Try to keep the ice maker in the freezer, not in the fridge door. It might mean foregoing a door dispenser, but it will save you headaches and money in the long run. https://prudentreviews.com/reliable-refrigerator-brands/

Actually wanted to get 2/4door fridge so that i could measure kitchen cabinet accurately and wont leave much space on the sides, but since im staying alone, i guess i just get a normal top/btm mount fridge first n lets see if ID could make removable cabinet (beside fridge) incase i chg into bigger fridge in the future.

Yale Appliance US does not carry any Japanese or Samsung brands even though it mentions Samsung in the list. This post has been edited by eclectice: Jun 8 2022, 12:26 PM

There's a saying when it comes to buying fridges.... get the largest you could afford or fit into the space at the time. Otherwise when it comes to upgrading, its gonna be another hassle to dispose off your old fridge. Not easy finding a buyer for second hand fridge.

I have purchased the Panasonic bottom freezer for one week already. The fridge works very well so far, but it will produce this loud noise a few times a day. When it started, we could hear it from the staircase (double storey link house, the fridge in the back kitchen), after a few seconds, it goes lower but still audible, and quiets down after a few minutes. There is this white plastic frame at the back of the fridge, pressing it will dampen the sound, if I let go the hand, the noise will come back. Other times, the fridge is very quiet. Noise.mp4Look at the back.movFor comparison, our 16-year old old fridge (also a Panasonic bottom freezer) has much lower motor noise, we could never hear it from the staircase. According to my mother who is at home most of the time, this occurs 5 to 6 times a day. Is there any cause for concern?

Perhaps is a good time to review their after sales as well Personally that doesn't sound normal to me. The tech just came and left, without calling me first, luckily I'm at home on a Saturday afternoon.
Showed him the video recording with the noise, and he did some adjustment at the back. Asked me to observe and report if the noise comes back again. Said free service within the first year.
So, kudos to Panasonic's service so far. Do keep the receipt and warranty card, he needs to photo them before performing any job.

Yeah from the shopee seller recommended above. The delivery guys will give the printed receipt and warranty card. And yes-they do the installation too.

And, about Pana fridges, all Juscos have been out of stock according to the one near me, said the problem is with the production, so I quickly ordered one online, scared that they will sell out too, and then the next batch might have a price hike. Funny that Jusco didn't try to push their display unit to me (not that I wanted to), maybe that's the deference between working for yourself or working for someone else.

Hi all, I am eyeing on this model R-V710P7M-1 (Hitachi) and I was being told that the save 3.0 initiative has been fully claimed by Sen Heng sales person. Just wanted input from members here. Did not claim for washing machine as well as I forget to ask.

Quick question peeps. Is there any difference between freezer top / freezer bottom? Trying to figure out which type to buy now.
Or its just a preference thing unlike the washing machine (top / front load) where front load is preferable?
