POOR PRODUCT QUALITY
We bought this on 23/1/2020 and am so disappointed and frustrated with this product as we find out that the fridge did not function as expected. The fridge got problem not long after the purchase. It is not good value for money. We decided to buy a new fridge is because our old fridge no longer can keep the freshness of vegetables and foods that we keep inside. For our great disappointment this so called latest model also can't do so. We had throw most of the vegetables and fruits due to the damages the fridge had caused during the MCO. The vegetables cannot be kept longer. We noticed that the vegetables will become jelly-like condition after few days kept inside the fridge. We first notice the problem on 09/02/2020 when my dad complaint that the fridge making the vegetables “cooked” (damaged). I said to him let's see if the problem still persist, then will call SenQ. Not long after my mom said the fridge really got problem as we had noticed that newly bought vegetables and fruits were not in the original conditions after we only keep it for 2 days. We assumed that the problem already persist from the day the fridge delivered to our house. I called LG to report the matter on 04/03/2020 (Report No.: 0128173780) On 07/03/2020, LG technician came and checked said 1 faulty part that need to be replaced (the part that control temperature) The technician said this model is the latest model and he is not quite expert in “fixing” this. He also said to me that new model require expensive parts when need repair. Moreover, he said when electric current stop and come back on will easily damage the fridge because the sudden flow of voltage. He said nowadays new models will easily damage compare to “old” fridge. He advises that we can get a “protected plug” from electrical shop if we wanted to protect the fridge. After we heard his review about the fridge, we were more disappointed about the product. The fridge is expensive and the quality were not as advertised. At that moment, we were regret of buying this model. On 12/03/2020, the faulty part was replaced. The day that he came and replace the faulty part. He then said “it seems that the faulty part is not actually the fridge problem. He also said “ it’s ok” as we are under warranty and there’s no losses to replace though. From this point, I can see that the technician didn’t check the problem thoroughly and just simply settle the matter like that. It is not the matter of keep on fixing or repair the fridge, it is the matter of why should we go through all this troublesome situation as this is a newly bought fridge and it should not be coming to the state that we need to fix or repair throughout the warranty period. what is the point we buy this expensive fridge. We not only wasting money and time but we also find that it cause a lot of inconvenience to us as we had to wait for technician to come, parts to arrive and we need to move all the stuff in and out each and every time the technician came. Not long after the replacement of the so-called faulty part, the problem still not solved as our vegetables and fruits still the same conditions as we had reported previously. When we wanted to report again MCO had been in-force. During the MCO period, we had a hard time as we can't keep the vegetables and fruits stay fresh longer because the foods will be damaged in just few days kept in the fridge. We were so frustrated because we can't report to either LG or Senheng was closed during MCO. We demand that the warranty period during MCO should not taken in count as we were not able to report. We waited till MCO over, I called Senheng on 13/5/2020 to report the problem. The lady said the person-in charge will call us back as he’s not around when we call. They called back but is Jeff (the salesperson)instead of the manager .Jeff said will contact LG and get back to me by 15/5/2020. On, 16/05/2020 I called Senheng again because no one call on the 15/5/2020. Jeff said already contact LG. He said the LG technician need to check what’s the problem 1st. Then only he can discuss with HQ and LG how to solve. The KIWI that I bought on 15/5/2020 became jelly-like after 5 days kept in the fridge and cannot be eaten anymore( we never seen this condition ever before). We also started to snapshot or videotaking of foods before and after we put the foods into the fridge to keep this as a proof that this model of fridge should not be sold to customers. We had throw so many vegetables and fruits because they no longer can be eaten due to the damages the fridge caused. Who is responsible for this? This product is not worth to buy. The purchase of this refrigerator is much regrettable to our family. We are now waiting to see how Senheng or LG Malaysia to solve this matter. We'll also see how long they take to solve this matter. Not only the product quality no good but the technician also not knowledgeable and not skillful at all. We are so dissatisfied with LG product.
