Not in my case, I called MBB's customer service and ask them regarding a triple charged golf game at KLGCC, the tone of the CS is rude and not helpful at all. He ask me to call up KLGCC and settle with them instead. WTF! I have no such problem with other banks, usually they will just send a fax to the merchant and ask them to verify the double charged and do a reversal, that's all. And I was their Platinum card holder. I ditch MBB card after that incident.

Probably a month ago. That incident totally ruined my perception of MBB CC. Now using back my ol' good PBB card. I have spoken to their CS, thumbs up and good experience for me.

agree with you that sometimes maybank customer service is bad, not only banking, cc etc even their insurance company (eTiqa) is lousy too

you shd tell us, what is ur preferecen?

1 advise: since new to working, no need so hurry to get Credit Card, faster u get CC, faster u falls in the traps.

@kianwee,
I can understand ur frustrations; I'm new with MBB thus have no feedback on their CS for now biggrin.gif Initial impression was pretty impressive; CS actually called to double check if I'd received my CC!

Agree with tinkerbel here. The general feedback from the folks here can be used as a guide to measure the effectiveness of the bank's cc CS but there could be could be special cases where the customer's experience is bad.

Like myself, I just had a bad experience with Citibank which I told myself to stay clear of their cards for a very long time. mad.gif

One more thing, you guys make me feel that Platinum cards are just for stature and showing off. I still keep my Visa classic for use when I'm paying in the presence of my friends/colleagues. It pays to keep low profile.
*
It's all in the perception... ever since I got sent a Platinum card even with my salary category, I no longer feel Platinum cards are special. Any Tom, d*** and Harry can get it. Never activated the card, just tossed it aside.

Wanna ask you guys something - after 31 August 2008, RHB TravelMoney card no longer offers 5% petrol rebate. What's the next best card for petrol rebates? In the meantime, I would be using CIMB Petronas.

why you said citibank service isnt good? I was once double charged by them on my cc transaction but it was corrected by them few days after that. So far so good. Only thing bad is their gifts redemption with points not as good as CIMB/MBB

I had a good impression of them all this while until something unexpected happened recently.

This started with one of their staff (Citibank staff) fraudulently applied an additional credit card under my name - I only tick one box in the form but I got 2 cards (which I suspect to claim additional commission) which leads to series of other issues as well. Isn't this serious enough ? (or a good example of their service ... I think not)

@muscaa,
It's on a case-by-case basis lah. It's easier to resolved things that usually happens but for situations which are rare/infrequent, the CS hasn't been briefed/taught how to handle it.

Just like hye, I too have had my bad days with Citibank.

i applied their clear & cash back card 2 years ago, after a while citibank charged me annual fee for cash back card. Reason was i didnt use it during the first 45 days.
Later i called up their CS and threatened to terminate both cards. The operator was worried and waived it on the spot. Should be more 'violent' to deal with these problems brows.gif

Just a short report.. I just made an online purchase through my Amex Credit Card. It was USD19.97. Amex called to reconfirm the purchase [perhaps because it was an online transaction *shrugs*]. Apparently after all the conversion, the purchase cost me RM66.

I did a quick conversion through xe.com and this is what I got:-

Live rates at 2008.08.14 06:41:14 UTC
19.96 USD
=
66.5537 MYR
United States Dollars Malaysia Ringgits
1 USD = 3.33435 MYR 1 MYR = 0.299908 USD

From the above calculation, it doesn't look as if I'd been charged additional admin fee! rclxms.gif
