QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jul 16 2008, 09:43 AM) @zenquix, Am not a Diner's member. It sure seems as if Diner's have lots of co-brand cards. Anyhow, since ur a Diner's member, just want to know if it's widely accepted here in MY. I am an AAM member that got the flyer with a big 5% petrol rebate written on it. But based on my general observation, think diner's merchants are even less than amex. |

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jul 22 2008, 08:15 PM) I recently put in an application for a MBB CC and it was approved. In fact, I got upgraded to the next tier. Having said that, I've kept a good credit record for the many years since I started using a CC and do not currently have any outstanding loans. You finally got your Amex? But what do u mean the next tier? plat -> black? |

Might want to use your DA Mastercard more. Since CIMB took over their focus is Mastercard.

I have a PBB card because of the car loan too. There is only a cash rebate depending on usage.. and it's not too attractive. First tier is 0.3%.
What annoyed me was they hold on to the cash rebates (have yet to get mine credited although it's nearly a year) and the amt of rebates for different cards (visa or master) are tracked separately although it is a shared credit limit. Since the rebate is already so low, it just forces you to move all spending to one card to try and hit the next tier, making the other card useless. I looked at the catalogue and so far the only things I am interested in are the vouchers and maybe the smart tag.

QUOTE MBB Petronax 5x TP is over already right? I asked the people at the fair and they said it has been extended to Dec 31. Did not notice any waiver offers. Do highlight if anyone got one... might pick up an Amex if the offer is good. This post has been edited by zenquix: Aug 1 2008, 11:33 PM |

QUOTE(andrekua @ Aug 6 2008, 04:42 PM) I think the other day when I was checking AMEX, one year fee for classic card is RM138. I rather use free card as Im using it for convinient and not to borrow money. Citibank Shell is 2.5% petrol and 0.75% retail w/o carry forward balance. This is to fight against CIMB Petronas (and DA). What they don't tell you is your rebate is only credited if above RM20 (from some of the threads) and there is annual fee.. So how much do you pump to start making a gain??Added on August 6, 2008, 4:44 pm yameh? If you use Citibank Shell goldcard, it still gives you 2.5% on petrol and 1.5% on purchase even when you dont carry forward balance. Not bad lar... quite useful cos when purchase air ticket for boss or buy office stuff, I swipe and I save but claim full. Hahaha... Oh yah alot of Citibank offers are point based so Shell Citibank does not qualify. |

@andrekua
it works for you if your usage is that high every month and you don't mind the annual fee but if you use a similar free for life card like CIMB Petronas 500 * 2% = RM10 750 * 0.5% = RM3.75 Total monthly = RM13.75. Annually is ~ RM 168 It works out to be more since your don't have to fork out the RM75 for the annual fee as is the case for Citibank. However only applies if you pump Petronas. Point based reward system is harder to compare since you may not need the stuff + may have expiry date. |

CIMB Petronas has rebate for retail purchases. So does Shell Citibank and Alliance Bank.

in order to pay your DA bill and other bills, u need to have a cimb account and register a cimbclicks with that.
registering cimbclicks with your DA card only lets you view transactions and statements. |

You can see the accts but cannot do anything with them. shinichi is right. you need to register using your cimb account atm card. I had the same issue too.
