QUOTE(booleanx @ Oct 8 2008, 02:31 PM) thansk. citibank called me and told me that they require rm 2k and above. which bank is the easiest to apply for a credit card? Yeah ... the international banks would probably be more sticky about the minimum requirement. I'll suggest ... 1. Get a card which suits your needs the best but be realistic coz it's your first card. 2. Or get a card from where your salary is being deposited. However, I do have a friend which did not get a card from the very bank the salary is being deposited. It all boils down whether you have good track credit record with the banks ... being fresh into the job market. Your credit history should be clean unless you messed it up earlier.

I applied for HSBC and Citibank before and even pass their requirement. End up they rejected my application. Later on I apply for CIMB since they are offering much benefits and within 2 weeks I get my card.

@berryshortcake, Just because U meet all requirements stated on the application form, it doesn't mean u will 100% get the card. Banks does their own credit checks and have a separate process determining your risk factor before approving CCs.

Let me know if U come across anything Erh, that actually refers to the buy 1 free 1 deals, not sure if you will want to fly first class and of course the extra points which starts fr 5X all the way to 10X for Amex Plat and Visa Infinite, and of course the free lounge visits etc And you are correct in that the UOB Preferred is not an infinite card, which is only issued by UOB S'pore (refer to as the black card and by invitation only). In Malaysia, UOB's premier card is the Midas Card. Only RHB and Std Chart currently has the infinite card in Malaysia. This post has been edited by tgeoklin: Oct 8 2008, 05:16 PM

I doubt because 100 is not a small amout, they got that kind?

@tgeoklin, I've given up with all these status chase so I don't care as long as the card serves me well. aHhh So the benefits u were referring to were mostly F&B benefits...
oKie doKies... nothing too interesting from hotel deals for Bali on Visa, Master or Amex unfortunately *siGh*
Added on October 8, 2008, 5:25 pm@princessgalaria, I do believe it is RM100. If their communication materials state RM100, U will get ur RM100 but it normally takes them months before U get the reimbursement or the benefit. Don't know about the AA card though but U could always check.
