And its good to know you are over with these status chase but its the top tier cards, unfortunately, which gives the best deal. So with with everything being equals, the only logical deal is to move upwards

i thinks Air Asia card chances shd be higher than other cards.

Citibank approved my application 2 years ago and gave me the black colour one (i think is citibank clear card). That time my salary less than 2k lor. after 6 mths they automatic upgrade gold card for me.

The hotel deals with these top tier cards are uhm well... not something I want to spend esp since I promised the folks I'll pay for the entire Bali trip [bad move! should have not included sis in it - she's always getting the better end of the stick! *hmph*].

Also, the promotions available for Visa Infinite are also extended to Visa Platinum so makes no difference, really

Er..did that Gold Card come with additional CL? Am curious to know if there's a standard procedure or CL. It pissed me off when Citibank sent me an 'upgraded' card but giving me lesser CL. I hope that didn't happen to u.

But sorry to burst your bubble, but I think the way shd be all promotions applicable to platinum cards are enjoyable by infinite card members but not vice-versa ie. free unlimited lounge visits, free golfing, 5X reward points, higher insurance coverage etc

AhHhh those benefits are definitely different. I don't travel that much so it makes no difference! muAHahAHahH I haven't even had the chance to visit the damn lounge. I don't golf so that's not an issue either ..

Anyway, sometimes its good to have but not necessary. And you are right abt the lounge, most of the time we are just too rush to be able to drop by unless its on transit flights etc.

How about Citibank online ? Can we use other banks' credit card to pay Astro and TM bills ?


Do they have Premier card ? I thought HSBC is the only bank to issue the Premier card, which is a World Mastercard.

I guess the airport lounge can be a pretty good benefit if one is a 'world traveller' - and unfortunate for me I ain't. I haven't had the chance to even check the damn place out *grins*

And you're right - it's good to have cause U never know when U'll need it but it's really a hassle having to carry so many darn CCs - i don't normally do that esp on travels *grins*

Er.. I don't think Citibank online will allow U to use other CCs to pay for ur 3rd party bills; it's got to be billed to ur Citibank account and that makes perfect sense to me

I think what tgeoklin meant is that UOB's top level card (Premier Card) is the Midas Card. It probably has nothing to do with the World Mastercard/HSBC's Premier card.

Just to set the record straight, the HSBC Premier is not a World Mastercard but more akin to a Mastercard Platinum as there are currently no banks issuing World Mastercard in Malaysia.

Emmm .... then how do you explain the word "World" printed on HSBC Premier's Mastercard card. It is printed around below the 3rd set of numbers of the card no.

guess what i saw just now, the Shell Station Damansara Heights got put up 1 notice at 1 specific pump just for the Shell Citibank Credit Card usage, other cards need to go to other pumps.

Yeah, noted that as well. I would suppose its their marketing gimmick in creating the impression that its a World Card but a check with Master Card Int will show you that such a card has not been introduced into Malaysia as yet. Further, the benefits accorded to the card are also that of a Plat Card and also if you check with HSBC, you will notice that they do not issue any Plat Master Card etc. So draw your own conclusions

All CIMB CC user, Want to ask something here, how long it takes for the bank to increase your credit limit? I used half year already, the CL still the same, i hope can get 5K then next year i can str8 away to get a gold card.
