As my company will sent to me Japan for about one month so i need a credit card to use the, i had 4 month pay slip (>2K), but i need urgent as i wil go soon..

Any bank you recomend?? I planning to apply CIMB Petronas Mastercard~

Any other good card?? I saw u all write DA/Direct Access.. does this good??

ya, i am a degree holder which current work in a MNC, so it mean i can apply DA??

coz i did not see DA there only CIMB Classic / CIMB Pertronas ...

Did DA same as above eighter one??

or DA = CIMB Pertronas coz CIMB protronas had 2% on fuel petronas / 0.5% on other feul station only

BTW i need to use on the Travel later to Japan,soon does CIMB currency will charge anything??

So here is
DA - All petrolstation 2% (This is what i want)
CIMB - Petronas Master - only Petronas 2% other is 0.5%

I had apply DA card last friday, supprice that call me last night n said my card is on the way.. will arrive end of this week or next week.

Hope can get is soon as i need a CC in Japan~

Ya, i been told CIMB is local bank so sometime will having dificulity to use there~

So i also apply UOB, DC and Standard Chartard...

Hope this had no problem to use in Japan


BTW, how much cash i need to spare??

Does this mean, when we shopping in other country, Master/Visa sure will charges a surcharge on top of the exchange rate.

And the bank in depend on what card we holding?? like DA only had Master surcharge but without bank charge.

If ya, how much does Visa/Master charge?

When i get CC, do it had any rule that i had to follow to cancel the card(Not Yet active)

Till now because last time i very rush so i apply as many card as i can hope can get any of them b4 i go Tokyo

now Hong Leong, Standard Charard, CIMB DA, UOB n Diners call me said my card is approve
I scare later MBB n HSBC said on the way also.. so planning to cancel the card once i get

cham suddently feel i holding too many card if get lost my card i die hard

so i thinking to keep DA + UOB first... diners still considering

Last week i apply DA, they told me must had cert! but due to some problem i said i unable pass the cert 1st. so i give them my payslip and offer letter..

I scare DA fail so i apply petronas mastercard too....

The next tuesday they call me said my card is pass and on the way to me ~(I been told the card arrive my home on thurday but no one at home so it pass back to pos office， i call them they said will resend to my company this week)

On the same friday, they call me again said my petronas mastercard also approve~ @@ i direct said dont want ady...

So i think if u provide enought thing to CIMB the cert really doesn't concern.

Somemore they process really fast !! thumbs up for CIMB this time!!

For MBB i also apply, later i wanna call them said don need process le.. 2 week plus no even call me, need me call them n said in progessing , due slow. somemore my salary is direct go MBB why need so many document.. really dissapointed with MBB.

BTW, Hong Leong, UOB, n Standard Charted all had call me in one week time. HL i get ady, UOB on the way too. SC still in progress but i wanna cancel HL n SC liao~

I had apply MBB, HL, UOB, Diners, CIMB DA, CIMB Petronas, Std Chd
status is:
MBB : No respond , damm my salary in here d ler...
HL : Apply Friday get next next monday , cancel today
UOB : Apply Saturday at carrefour, get next next tuesday , status pending
Dinners : Got call me but don know status
CIMB DA : Apply friday, pass next wednesday , get thurday but nobody at my home
CIMB Petronas: Apply friday, Call me on next friday said i success but i direct said don want le
Std Chd : Apply Saturday, Call me on next tuesday said will progress ASAP but waiting news now

At last i also don know why BSM can approve i get so many card, at first i think js few card could get approve, but till now all said in progress some ady get....

ya i apply all this 29 Aug (fri)/ 30 Aug (satuday)

Acctually i wanna prove my cert but i forget return one book to uni so them on hold my cert till i return it
now order from US coz i lost it liao

So i never proof my cert yet but i had tell them my reoson n give other support document (Offer Letter) n ask them call my boss if needed and i tell them i rush coz i wanan fly to Japan soon so i need a CC Asap

CIMB DA card..

but when u apply it will give ur Visa + Master then u said u wanna cancel visa ok le

i think dont had~ its only free for life and got 2% for all petrol station

U can try citibank shell card, 2.5% for silver holder, 5% for gold holder. shell station only
1.5% rebate on all other purchases!

How do i cancel my card without return the card??

Hong Leong told me that i must bring back card to them to cancel~

I had fax then the cancellation form but they told give back the card is must~

Dxmm, last time the HL's CS told me just need call only~

Good story but never ever get so mana CC, i had apply 5~7, get approve 5 of them~ 4 of them cut at the same day i get.

Only left one DA with me~

how about buy petrol rm1 per translation ~ if use car u had 50~60 time

I had apply my 30 Aug, i call them last thurday they said in progress.

And this tuesday i call them ask again they said in progress so i told the CS said i will go travel next week.. then she told me will rush for me~

the next day i call them and they told me the card is approve and i can get at branch next week....


Seen like if they don think u really rush, they will keep delay like ur case~

what card u apply for lifetime annual fee waive??

my one is Petronas Visa, as i got DA Master(I cancel Visa).
