QUOTE(goldfries @ Oct 14 2008, 12:41 AM) i donno him. my family being regular at Shiang Hee avoid that dish. I agree... and to add to your info, the owner of Shiang Hee, seems like a nice person, don't he? Drives a black BMW 318i and stays at Menjalara.... probably you guys should go find out those decent neighbours of his are pleased with his driving attics and doesnt care about neighbour's safety with the purpose of making noise, having party with full blast musics plus screaming and yelling and the noise of mahjong tiles till 4-5 a.m. in the morning. Despite repeated warnings from security guards and polite warning from neighbours, only to get threaten by them. but who knows la, these types of restaurants change cooks wan. some shops at Kepong also, not consistent. can go 3 times and their same dish can vary so greatly. I use to go to his restaurant for his cheap and nice food... but ever since then when i got to knew that he is a person that doesnt care less of other ppl, imagine the food that he is cooking for the customers in his restaurant. To be honest, if you are a malaysian, you will love the food we have here, I love food and i always look for good and nice food no matter what the cook or chef's background is, as long as the food is good, then its great food. But if a attitude of a chef or a cook is in that way, what and how would u think the food will be? My recommendation - Theme Restaurant at Menjalara ( Same Row with Tanjung Dua Restaurant with their famous fried spaghetti) |

So his bad personal behavior automatically causes the quality of his restaurant (staff/chef/food) to go down, even though some might have tasted them and found its not so?If a CEO in a company is a scum during his after-work life, does this means all the staff in his company automatically being assumed as a bad bunch of people too? and anything coming out from that company are of low quality product and service? Anyway, thanx for the reminder in judging how food should be tasted. I should be careful if i ever enjoyed any food in a foodcourt hawker stall. The uncle that prepare such delicious food might be gambler/drunkard/prostitute-visiting/wife-beating man. So my senses might enjoyed the food totally, but its ACTUALLY sucks coz the chef is a bad person. LOL. cheers This post has been edited by alanyuppie: Feb 5 2009, 02:59 PM |

dunno if this is posted or not, just went back to this Thai restaurant at Aman Puri called "Chiang Rai Style", had not been there for ages, its opposite King's bakery shop. Had the best fried rice ever, its a Pineapple fried rice costing rm6 a plate. Basically its fragrant rice fried with cubes of pineapples, squids and garnished with chicken floss, yummy!...
also, when you're there, you have got to try their seafood hotplate taufoo and also their pandan chicken. Both are equally good. The taufoo is fried silky smooth and sauteed in this rich chily sauce mixed together with lalas, crabs and squids. While the pandan chicken costing rm5 for 4 pieces, is a mouth watery chunks of marinated chicken meat. highly recommended. I reckon this restaurant is better than the Thai restaurant located opposite Giamax factory, just my 2 cents... |

I must try the Aman Puri rest really soon then.also, when you're there, you have got to try their seafood hotplate taufoo and also their pandan chicken. Both are equally good. I recently revisited this place that sells claypot porridge in Maluri, same row as the outdoor Tuck Kee. It serves very good porridge, and their Kung Po Frog, wah excellent.

QUOTE(laichong @ Mar 2 2009, 04:29 PM) thats my usual lunch place while working. but feel sienz already... hahaha Depends lor. Most of the time with customers.u come all the way from just to eat chicken rice? if u know RHB, just opposite got 1 FISH HEAD very nice~. Sg Buloh really have cheap + good food. Whenever I go there, sure eat there. But lately my customer getting sienzzz with sg buloh I think. So switch to Kota Damansara. LOL... Some of the food that I enjoy is chicken rice, small small plate (cant remember the place name), coffeeshop behind the famous dim sum, and the shop with lots of customer one where they sell mees and hotpot (opposite the parking space). Kaka BKT is not nice... they add in a lot of MSG. After you drink their soup, sure drink more. BKT go eat in the one behind caltex, or the one at the corner opposite the petronas. Sg Buloh BKT also not bad, but best is in Klang. |
