i donno him. my family being regular at Shiang Hee avoid that dish. normally people butter prawn fry nicely with those strands. theirs ah, aiyoh even the sugar cubes can see, and it also tasted very sweet.
but who knows la, these types of restaurants change cooks wan. some shops at Kepong also, not consistent. can go 3 times and their same dish can vary so greatly.
I agree... and to add to your info, the owner of Shiang Hee, seems like a nice person, don't he? Drives a black BMW 318i and stays at Menjalara.... probably you guys should go find out those decent neighbours of his are pleased with his driving attics and doesnt care about neighbour's safety with the purpose of making noise, having party with full blast musics plus screaming and yelling and the noise of mahjong tiles till 4-5 a.m. in the morning. Despite repeated warnings from security guards and polite warning from neighbours, only to get threaten by them. but who knows la, these types of restaurants change cooks wan. some shops at Kepong also, not consistent. can go 3 times and their same dish can vary so greatly.
I use to go to his restaurant for his cheap and nice food... but ever since then when i got to knew that he is a person that doesnt care less of other ppl, imagine the food that he is cooking for the customers in his restaurant.
To be honest, if you are a malaysian, you will love the food we have here, I love food and i always look for good and nice food no matter what the cook or chef's background is, as long as the food is good, then its great food. But if a attitude of a chef or a cook is in that way, what and how would u think the food will be?
My recommendation
- Theme Restaurant at Menjalara ( Same Row with Tanjung Dua Restaurant with their famous fried spaghetti)
