Guys, now Viewsonic VX2262wm how much? I heard from my familiar dealer that he can get it under RM800 le.

will there any problem if my card output is dvi-i while i am using dvi-d cable? is there any compatibility issues.

when buying 30" monitor i assume you dun put in 2feet from your face. if or media only 32" LCD TVs are <>RM1700 nia

I'm now actually using a 32" LCD TV as a monitor due to insufficient space but the resolution is just @ 1360x768 which is insufficient for me... So, that's why I'm planning to buy a 30" monitor for higher resolutions.... Plus I'm planning to get it is because of future proof.... But for now, it seems that the options are quite limited....

I had a problem when im watching a movie , a problem of lines running on the full screen watching movie mode
And after i formated my pc no problem jor
Im using OLD PC P4 2.8
ATI RADEON 9600 Pro Atlantis
Im using DVI- HDMI cable
Resolution always at 1680X1050
Watching A 720p movie very superb clear and smooth
Watching A 1080p movie is also very clear (definitely) but abit laggy cos ram in my pc NEEDED !
as i had examine with 2 same spec pc , one with more ram and one with less ram
And the more Ram Pc same spec pc , runs smoothly ~

I've just bought myself a Samsung LCD monitor 2253LW. It's a 21.6" monitor. My old CRT monitor Samsung 765MB have served me well for 6 years and now kabut, that's why I got a new monitor. Comparing the 2253LW and my old 765MB, I must say that 765MB is better in terms of colour reproduction, sharpness, and most of all, the viewing angle. However, I find that 2253LW cause less strain to the eye. Can anyone explain this?

I like 2253LW a lot, and being a new owner of LCD monitor, I have nothing much to complain about. The desktop space is increase thanks to the higher resolution, another thing that I like is the power consumption, it's greatly reduce (45W) as compared to my previous 765MB (83W).

I didn't do any sort of calibration yet, as I wasn't too sure how to do it. However will try out some of the link given here. The 2253LW does have slight backlight leak at top and bottom of the screen when the light was off.

So far, am still satisfied with the new 2253LW.

Not considering to get another LCD TV.... I wanna get 30" coz of the native resolution..... I saw Viewsonic 28" 1920x1200 resolution also not bad.... Now I'm just considering the value of 30"... Izzit actually worth it??

i dun wan to go through format again. so i am going home to try whether reinstall of the driver will help.

u can try the catalyst settings with the monitor driver settings
I guess only these 2 choices you can play with , maybe somewhere something u have set wrongly

Oh yah just remember!
When at first i got the monitor and using nothing was wrong
Until another friend came and play some settings on my catalyst and monitor software
Then i saw lines running when watching a movie in full screen mode.... then he also donno y lolx
Then i kena some funny virus after dat so i reformat , and after i reformat , everything is good

So im just trying to let u know , it might not be reformating , (as for my case is exceptional)
Logically it was some settings he changed trying to be funny to play with my new monitor (Then)

But one thing is confirm is nothing to do with ur cable ... cos im using the same input

ANd Update using everyday hardly switching my pc and monitor off daily .. 24/7 running good , more than happy status

where did u see the viewsonic 28"?I was looking for a display set for this monitor so that i can see the performance but hard luck finding any

for the while i using the hdmi cable from the dvi to hdmi adapter.

as hdmi giving me problem on audio. I keep getting audio warm up before sound come out of the built in speaker.

so i decided to separate the audio and video.

other problem will be, my built in audio, when i connect it to the back panel, the speaker won't come out any sound, i tried all the available playback frequencies and failed. so i plug it into my front panel, dada, there is the perfect sound.

i wanted to make it work through the back panel, so annoying.

That was quite long ago lor.... Coz it's displayed at cineleisure at that time... that time i saw it costs about RM2.3k.... if not mistaken.... dun worry about quality... quality is top notch.... native is 1920x1200.... u can refer to viewsonic website...

Great, I'll go check it out, which shop is it? I'm considering this and the samsung LA32A550. I want a monitor with a large working area so I can do my work better but I dont want to do dual monitor setup. The only worry I have about the samsung is that the screen size is too big and the resolution is not high enough. I havent seen a PC connected to it though but I'll try to hunt for it and compare the both before deciding.

Besides the size, is there any relative difference between the 2253BW and 2253LW? I have a friend who just got hold of the BW at RM790 but the LW is RM20 cheaper though at LYP

No need to go there coz it's gone liao.... I just went there yesterday..... if u wan perfection, then get a 30" and run dual dvi to run native of 2560x1600.... That's the biggest workspace u can go.....the second biggest is 1920x1200 which is supported by 22" and above... depends on budget... I wan a 30" monitor bcoz of the 2560x1600 native onli....

And about the audio , as far as i know and aware of is ... i didnt plug my audio cable given by the monitor at all cos im using HiFi home theatre system set connected to my pc
So the green lobang behind my monitor which is the audio lobang is not connected at all for mine

Cos im not using any extra adapters or any adapters

Meaning he's actually using a DVI-HDMI adapter which requires a HDMI cable for connectivity.... However, the adapter actually carries audio and display together.... For ur method, u r using a DVI-HDMI cable which carries onli display so, audio will not bother u since the cable dun carry audio at all....

I think for his problem, he hav to manually disable the sound from the control panel or sumthing... NVIDIA or ATI?? Sry... din read ur post.... If NVIDIA, it shouldn't carry any sound at all... If ATI, I think u can try to locate the audio properties in the CP to disable it.... If otherwise fail, u hav to get a DVI-HDMI cable....
