With BenQ 24" HDMI LCD monitor selling at just RM999, during the PC Fair, Dell whip out their own 24" HDMI LCD at RM1099, inclusive of delivery and 3y warranty wink.gif

hmm i wonder how many months would it take for the price to drop below RM1,000 tongue.gif

it is avaible thru msia dell website..

http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/products/c...en&s=dhs&~ck=mn

and if you check the spec there.. there is no HDMI port.. but it stated here ( http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/products/p...dhs1&l=en&s=dhs ) have hdmi

so people who want to buy this better confirm this with msia dell before buying..
edit: why 2709wfp still not on yet..
*
confirm got HDMI port. Stupid DELL did not include that in the spec. but if you click on the feature pictures, there are HDMI, DVI and VGA connectors. smile.gif

consider this . on a 16:10 monitor, when watching 1080p videos/movies or games - you get black bars on top and bottom of the LCD because of the extra 120pix. with a 16:9 monitor - you dont see the two black bars - its full screen.

give us money so we will follow the latest technology.

the price gap between 22" and 24" is just too big for some people. not only that, with higher re, we'll a more powerful graphics card....means more cash to spend.

me think BenQ just KILLED the need to have a 24" monitor yawn.gif yawn.gif by introducing a 22" with 1080P resolution laugh.gif

in the past - one needs to fork additional few hundreds to get 2" more on a 24". Back then there was the difference of 1920 x 1200 (and/or 1080) resolution vs 1680 x 1050 on 22". Now that Benq has released 1920 x 1080p 22" monitor, the resolution difference is no longer there. BenQ should either increase the $$ for the 22" near to the 24" or 24" 's days are numbered whistling.gif whistling.gif

HDMI what? APPLE is already whinning about HDMI saying that it cant even transmit resolution to its 30" beyond 1080p monitors laugh.gif Display port is license free and can support higher resolution than HDMI.

me thinking PS4 and XBox 720 will have Display port for gaming beyond FULL HD - literally making Blu-ray - secondary in term of picture quality wink.gif

since LG and Samsung 22" monitors fell below RM700 this week, i dug a little bit deeper and found these:

Despite all are listed at 22" some with 5ms and some 2ms response time, the actual LCD size and resolution vary

These infos are taken from each manufacturer's Malaysia website.

Priced below RM600,

BenQ G2110W IS NOT 22" as many of the price list in Lowyat put it.

Native resolution = 1680 x 1050
Response time = 5ms
Screen Size = 20.1"
Brightness = 250cd/m²

http://www.benq.com.my/products/LCD/?produ...=specifications

BenQ T221WA

Native resolution = 1680 x 1050
Response time = 5ms
Screen Size = 22.0"
Brightness = 300cd/m²
Does not have DVI connector.

http://www.benq.com.my/products/LCD/?produ...=specifications

Priced below RM650

LG 226WTQ listed at 22"

Native resolution = 1440 x 900
Response time = 2ms (GTG)
Screen Size = 22''
Brightness = 300cd/m²

http://my.lge.com/prodmodeldetail.do?actTy...2252TQ&model=14

Priced below RM700

Samsung 2253LW

Native resolution = 1680 x 1050
Response time = 5ms, 2ms (GTG)
Screen Size = 21.6''
Brightness = 300cd/m²

lol Samsung has emerged as one of the top notch display panel maker. They were even good with CRT monitors and TVs. three of my ex office banjir in the the CRT because they were put under the aircond and one night, the aircond kencing. The CRTs were put outside to dry. Once they were dried, we turned it on, and they were still working fine shocking.gif

It says here on the front page:

"BenQ 16:9 1080p Full HD LCD displays are available now and prices range from RM689.00 to RM1,500.00."

So, I'm guessing, the BenQ E2200HD is not going to be RM689?  sad.gif

But then what is priced at RM689 yet still plays HD leh? Don't tell me they're releasing 19" that has HD reso?
*
aiyo T2200 = 1080p = i think the price is RM689. This one has no HDMI.
