You need to increase your mouse sensitivity. You used to run at 800 x 600. Now it's about double the resolution to cover. Consider doubling your sensitivity or something.

As to the small icons, moving from such big ones to smaller ones, your eyes would take a while to get used to.

You can set the icon size the Display Control Panel. Suggest you set the Font Size to Large, enable ClearType font smoothing... wink.gif

i jz bought samsung 2253LW from thundermatch RM 685..at first wanna buy benq rm 585 but then it doesnt come with dvi cable..and buying dvi cable and the lcd will cost rm 620
very weird lar..last time those samsung good model like 226BW come with glossy screen...then now all batch..comes with non glossy already..how come ar?

since samsung 2253lw rm 685 come with dvi cable and agp cable..i change my mind by getting samsung
Migrating from 17 inch CRT to 21.6 inch wide LCD..really beh tahan lar...very sharp and nice.color also very nice...but it's too bright for my eyes lar...i set brightness 20 and contrast 25 only still very bright eventhough i did lcd tweaking test.Still fine and can see all the colors.

My eyes very sensitive geh..even slight ghosting i also can notice.
backlight bleeding worse ler, even highest samsung grade i also can see bleeding....dont have bleeding in my old crt
altho 5 ms and gtg 2 ms..i still can notice a bit of ghosting compare to my crt

Somemore now a bit dizzy using LCD...if continue to be like this..i will swap my lcd with anyone that has old CRT...how to use the com if feel dizzy everyday.
my old crt running at 100 hz and 800*600 flat samsung crt .
I got one question..Im using digital to digital cable now...running full reso 1680*1050 @ 60hz at 32 bit color...all the xp font very small lar...and the mouse move so slow compare to last time already.
If so small...need use eyes power to see all the fonts and words leh...how wor?somemore need to excel...very small numbers if run max reso. if set low reso...the lcd blur..not sharp at all.
how ar?I already adjust IE to display text to large setting..still small when viewing lowyat.net
Why whenever i set to lower wide screen reso like 1280* 720 or other wide reso ..not those 1024*768 normal screen....the LCD looks so blur wan?

lucky this samsung can change to normal square screen..so i can play dota and cs...but need to train back the mouse movement coz not used to it .

overall...still not satisfy lar, maybe im still not used to LCD...I still prefer CRT...but i cant find any new crt selling in lowyat .

i think im little regret coz im so used to square screen...should have bought square lcd and not the wide wan...

Ur eyes got slow response prob, even can notice ghosting. hmm.gif
As I claimed earlier, backlight bleeding is common prob for Samsung panel, apart from its poor brightness.
Fonts become smaller cos u're now using a higher res of 1680x1050 as compared to old 800x600, it is normal & not the LCD prob.
Of cos the screen will become blurry when u set lower res on higher native res LCD. Like when u set ur old CRT to 640x480 or something.
So as suggested by others, increase the font size while enabling ClearType smoothing, and increase the mouse sensitivity.
