ok here's the cost:

Labor:          RM 100.00
Sealing ring: RM    1.31
Spark Plug : RM  91.64
Rad. Coolant: RM 28.34
Oil Filter:      RM 12.27
Petronas Synthium 800 : RM 101.00
Air Filter :    RM 26.31
Alignment & Balancing: RM 56.00
Service Tax: RM 6.12

Total Damages: RM 423

It specify Total Parts = RM294.47, Total Labor=RM 122.40....not sure how they breakdown.

What do you guys think? Labor very expensive....Parts price ok? The Spark plug are 'Champion' plugs according to them. A tad expensive on the plugs? Maybe oil can get cheaper outside? hmm.gif
*
ya, oil can get cheaper outside.

my previous service, the SC (not Proton) charge me RM93 for the petronas 800 oil.

Yep, definitely void warranty. It's the same for all car manufacturers. pay a little bit more for peace of mind...somemore SAvvy parts not common nor cheap...better service at SC and claim warranty...furthermore got extended 3 years warranty(total 5)...pay a little bit more nvr mindler...the savvy can service every 10k...so not so expensive.

hello guys, its been a while since my last visit to this thread tongue.gif

just want to ask, any of u guys here had experienced rear glass window suddenly cracked? it happened to me on Wednesday night while i was driving. there was no sign of being hit by anything hard/solid. the glass surface was smooth...its weird.

i already went to proton sc asking for replacement thru warranty, but i had a bad feeling about it..since they told me the warranty did not cover the glass window, and they have to do some investigation...bla bla bla...

EDIT : amd yeah forgot to tell something, in the warranty booklet, it did not mention bout glass window cannot claim.

it might take a while and my cracked glass window could fall down anytime soon.. cry.gif

anyone here know the price range for the glass window.

Hmmm...is it covered in insurance? I only know the windshield need to pay extra for insurance...but rear window...no idea. But i suppose it's covered? Because usually windshield is the most prone to accident or breakage, that's why need added insurance premium.

Becareful if they try to con you. If in doubt, talk straight to the higher up level or the MD himself. He has a thread in motortrader forum.

sold for rm20k to a car dealer. mine year 2006. problems...can just say every year got problem to repair but had not reached the serious problems such as amt gear pump spoilt. mainly tdc sensor, hard to start, engine stuttering etc. actually, the minor problems maybe can manage but scared to keep longer upon hearing the seriousness of amt problem and the huge costs that will incur. but anyway for those who plan to buy savvy, juz buy manual la coz it is the best

u will regret buying kenari. if u need one, i will intro 1 friend who wish to sell her kenari.

basically kenari is good if u drive below 80km/h.

bro mutt, haha u know my intention...the new car is actually just the entry level T-badge lor. nothing great. but hopefully i can fully rely on it without worries
awh85, choosing kenari is okay if you just want a car that only take u from A to B. but for spirited driving, savvy's still the best bang-for-bucks. savvy's chassis is so great which is suitable for guys who wanna mod kaw2, swap engine, etc. anyway, if you are not into modding and plan to take amt, ask for the 5 years extended warranty by proton and therefore dun hav to worry bout spending money to repair. icon_rolleyes.gif

so since got warranty, why does everyone warn against the hefty bill for repairs?
