hello guys,

i would say i am a future savvy owner (hopefully)..smile.gif

but there is still couple of things that make me hesitate to make a decision yet.

ive been reading savvy related threads here at lowyatt and savoc, and so far i can say, more savvy owner got problem with AMT savvy..yes, i do know some of you who didnt get such problems with ur savvy..but still the percentage and probability of getting it still higher. and if im not mistaken, after 50,000km mileage, AMT savvy (or maybe manual savvy too?) more prone to get "sick"...

so can anyone of u guys here, explain to me, is it worth ur money to get a AMT savvy? put aside the perfomance & beauty, i was talking bout an extra payment for maintenance..(some ppl do take care of their car but still get into this problem).

some more, i live in sabah, and i am quite sure, spare part prices was quite high then in peninsular, also i dont know whether AMT spare part easy to find here or not..this also things i hav to consider :/

i do like AMT savvy, i would like to try it..but i dont think it worth it if "slalu kong", high maintenance cost..

can someone here explain why take manual savvy not AMT savvy?..(any other reason other than "i like manual" thinggy, more into "y i choose manual over AMT").

i want to ask more, but i just cant remember, maybe after this..so maybe all my doubt bout savvy will be cleared.

yeah hopefully...

the problems posted in savoc quite scary.. biggrin.gif

but still wondering, y got so many D.I.Y in savoc? its like showing savvy got so many problems..(no hard feeling).

but my heart still saying, go for savvy..tongue.gif.. but i just cant ignore all this issues.. yala, i will be paying for it for maybe 7 or 9 years, later if i dont like it, want to sell it the price dropped edi..

so otai2 come la..

another thing, i think not many ppl buy savvy since savvy's thread only v2. other thread edi so far..maybe they scared with proton brand?

thanks hyper for ur explaination,

it did gave me a relief a bit, but i do still feel "not satisfied" with it.
i went to proton car dealer yesterday just to have a closer look at this savvy, and yeah..i really want it.. tongue.gif
but just like raynman said...AMT is so unpredictable!!

so now im still thinking either to take AMT or MANUAL..sweat.gif

what do you guys suggest? why some of u take manual/amt? (well i want to see an answer different from "with manual i look more macho etc2" hehe)

i took the amt version because i believe some preventive measurement can be done to minimise the risk
1. choose ur car - choose date after june 2008
2. flush the amt oil and change it to renault oil
3. change sparkplug to ribbed ones
4. shrinktube the tdc connector
5. put o-ring to the sparkplug connector
*
do u mean u do it all in ur list after u get ur car? btw, i dont quite understand the no4. thing.. blink.gif

esavvy sound much better than those 2..lol

btw Ij000,

with all those list u made, can it prevent the "unpredictable failure" of AMT? or maybe reduce it for maybe how many percent?

its good tho (ur list)..

maybe you can keep us updated after u done with all those things smile.gif

hopefully it could prevent the usual problems occur in AMT smile.gif..if ur preventive measure effective, then i will choose AMT again..

my KWSP got prob. so my "getting a savvy" process would go slow..so i have time to ask around and waiting for ur update.. lol

time to go back! lol...have a nice weekend guys..

after 5 months of driving my red savvy, i love every parts & bits of it.

but too bad, someone hit and run my car when i parked my car at lowyat parking.
that leave some little dent and black paint transfer on my right doors.

i call the SA already, she said the discount savvy only for base-line model, 2007 2nd batch model..

she said the 2nd batch doesnt have problem like the previous batch, which i assume the design problem (had been mention on previous pages).

so anyone here do have 2nd batch, year 2007 model savvy?

btw, i havent order yet, im still in the process preparing document needed and surveying which savvy is better (have to wait for 1-2 months if i want year 2008 savvy...its way too long tongue.gif)

UR VIEW APPRECIATED :

i want to compare this 3 cars, waja, savvy and kelisa in term of maintenance cost, which one is cheaper?

i've been using waja for like 4 months then change to kelisa for around 3 months, from my experience, waja maintenance cost much higher at which i had spend almost every months repairing "this and that" (door opener, gear handle etc2), but with kelisa until now i only got 1 problem so far, compressor. (both auto)

so where do savvy stand? i think it would be in the middle of those 2 cars... sweat.gif
