lol, evil puppy we answer same time. I suspect the user above didnt install active sync before connecting to PC thats why, cuz by default it would be active sync. Since no active sync installed, straight became a USB device

yea, i used to think the same...if its slightly thicker, who cares..can do loads more..but after sometime...i think i am back liking slim devices its just so nice to hold them in your hands....

wm7? dun think abt it now...because when wm7 is out, htc will be out with a brand new smokin device, so start saving up now

thanks baronic for the updates, glad tht the games run well, hv never gamed on a mobile device, call of duty is one of my fav pc games...so will give it a try someday...

I'm having the problem where i mentioned about black icons? the icons keeps turning black again. No idea why. maybe needs a rom update i think.

which icon u talking about?

i installed games. games appear at start > programs > games as icons. My icons, randomly, are black. no colour. just black. all black not black and white. just can see the outline of the shape only

Ya some of the program that i installed also appear black icon, i think this might be something to do with the vga resolution....just a guess.

UPDATE on tweaking touch flo 3D: Download http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment...42&d=1202399126, thanks to schap, and customize File system cache to 8mb and file system filter cache to 131072. This gives drastic improvements in Touch Flo 3D.

Some tweak posted here claim that TF3D will improve in speed but I tested not much of different, maybe some of you guys can try it out.

So after doing that tweak does it feels fast by your standard?
Comparable to a phone or its fast in terms of pda standard?

guys...just got my diamond last nite...playing with it now...
btw i installed the Schaps advance setting last nite...n it seems the touch flo3d is much faster n smoother as well...

btw i experience intermittent wifi signal lost...a couple of time...anybody else experiencing the same issue?btw i'm using WEP authentication...any issue with WEP?or i need to changed it to WPA??

after tweak, 3DTFLo respond more faster. and the best part for the camera is Auto Focus.

after doing your settings, u shud uninstall schaps. i had a bit of problems, where i received sms only when i wake up my phone suddenly, but uninstalling schaps solved the problem.

UPDATE ON BATTERY REVIEW : I did this test, based on what a student (like me) would probably use. More sms than calls. Here's a rough estimate.

TOTAL HOURS BEFORE KONKING OUT TOTALLY = approximately 9 hours, give or take
TOTAL SMS-ES = 120
TOTAL TALK TIME = approximately 15-20 mins
TOTAL LIGHT GAMING TIME (Hexic) = 45 mins.


Its actually pretty impressive.

My verdict is that with backlight on "auto adjust" and with the dimlight dimming within seconds after not being used, there is a HUGE amount of power saving from running the VGA screen. Also, it could be possible that with its graphic accelerators, gaming also consumed less power than usual.

I got my diamond yesterday too from candccom at cheras.

my quick 2 cents:
3D flo is awesome
the coolest features are the browser and you tube. I am posting this using the diamond right this minute! its probably the most usable browser on a pda!
