Specially made VGA games and VGA compatible games running flawlessly. I'll be testing the Graphic Acelerator using Call of Duty as a comparison soon. Note that Touch Cruise and Tytn2 could NOT play Call of Duty, extremely laggy, even on the lowest settings.
*
alright..thanks man.
tomorrow will go searching around penang to see if i can find one...

I just called the PDA shop in Queensbay Mall. They have like 9 units in stock and selling at RM2799. Do you guys think 2799 is the best priceto get this kid? as they mention it will not come with any car kit............................ I think they might offer RM2799 with car kit soon.
*
is the shop owned by yeap?
well depends la..if u cant wait, take the plunge...but personally i think just wait a few weeks first, lets get reviews from other users, see if there are any problems...besides, few weeks down the road, maybe you might get a better offer?

i heard that if ur diamond is in standby mode...and a sms comes in, it wont vibrate/ring but the scroll wheel would flash...some users say they hv this prob, some say their's dont hv it. also, some sites are reporting that the diamonds have been held back due to software fix..so i would rather wait....

Yeah it is yeap's shop, i bought my cruise from him as well.
I just got my cruise sold on time. Need a GPS with me now. I definitely will go over and check it out after work. So, how is battery life? From my point, I always have my cruise stay above 50% Battery life for normal use and charging when i am in GPS mode and home.
*
ok will see if i hv time to go and play with it...

updated second post regarding Touch Flo 3D lag. Battery review like i said, i'll need 3-4 days, to have an average
*
its good tht ur taking your time...some reviewers just give an estimate, or make a statement very often usually.

i usually have a quote for this. If it is useful enough, i dont mind it being bulky. besides, how bulky it is compare to previous phone of mine XDA IIs, XDA IIi, O2 miniS and 9300? smile.gif
yeah... most probably it is ready to port to wm7 if released...
yea, i used to think the same...if its slightly thicker, who cares..can do loads more..but after sometime...i think i am back liking slim devices smile.gif its just so nice to hold them in your hands....

wm7? dun think abt it now...because when wm7 is out, htc will be out with a brand new smokin device, so start saving up now smile.gif

thanks baronic for the updates, glad tht the games run well, hv never gamed on a mobile device, call of duty is one of my fav pc games...so will give it a try someday...

Some nice things about the Touch Diamond taken from pocketnow.com :

# You know how when you call someone, you have to hold the phone up to your ear and listen to it ring and ring and ring and wait until they pick up? The Touch Diamond has an awesome little feature where instead of doing that, you dial the call and just hold the device in your hand. When the person you’re calling answers, you feel a little vibration. Then you can hold the phone to your ear and start talking right away. Absolutely genius!

# Finding that mute button when an incoming call happens at the wrong time can be pretty difficult and annoying depending on what you’re being interrupted of. The Touch Diamond has implemented a great feature where you can just flip the phone over and place it face down in order to ignore and silence an incoming call. You don’t have to look at it, you don’t have to feel for some button on the phone. Just flip it over! (If you leave it flipped over, incoming calls will still sound, so just flip it up and down to silence it in that case) Throwing it across the room may also work, but I haven’t tried it.

# The stylus is held in by a magnet and snaps into place. Not only that, but when you remove the stylus, the Touch Diamond wakes itself up from Standby mode and becomes instantly ready for you to interact with.

# The Touch Diamond finally brought back the ambient light sensor. Back in 2000, if you had an iPAQ H3600 (also made by HTC), you remember how it would change the screen brightness depending on how bright your environment was. The Touch Diamond brings this great feature back, and makes for a nicely usable screen even in outdoors sunlight.

# There are little LED lights inside the circular part of the action button. They’ll glow and flicker in different patterns to indicate different status states. A slow glow from top to bottom indicates a charging status, while a rapid flicker indicates an alert or announcement.

# UPDATE: Touch sensitive hardware buttons. When you touch the action button with your finger while using the camera, this will activate auto-focus. Then you press the button all the way to take a picture. (Thanks Action Jackson) Also rubbing the circular area around the action button in a clockwise or counterclockwise motion will zoom in or zoom out in the Photo Album and Opera browser. It will also change the text font sizes in email messages and text messages.

how to find setup file and install software?
*
well, try searching google for the software you ones..e.g. skype..search skype for windows mobile and download the installer...it would come in either .exe or .cab file...if its a .cab file, transfer it to your phone (bluetooth or activesync) and install it from there - you can install from activesync if you have it on your computer...or..you can transfer the .cab to your TD's 4gb...(use the provided cable and choose disk drive from the menu once its connected) then run the .cab from there....

QUOTE(EDD!E @ Jun 20 2008, 02:26 PM)
The price tag on diamond is pretty high.

Do you think it will drop once 3G iphone launch?
*
quite unlikely..first, it would take ages for it to reach malaysia..maybe year end la...even if it say comes out in spore..you would need to give 'them' time to find an unlock solution. anyways, i doubt you can walk out of the store without activating your phone and if you dont or terminate your line, you pay huge money...
