Does this happened after it was returned to you? Do not try to clean it by yourself. Get them to do it.

I think it got tainted accidentally. The lense is extremely sensitive. There is instruction in the manual on the lense maintenance. However, in your case, it is better to contact them to do the job for you.

AE-2000 for USD1.5K, then both of you sapu? I bet Mega really bringing tons of gear back from States. LOL!

That sounds scary.

Anyone knows the cause of all these random problems?

Anyone knows how to calibrate the picture?

I used my old AVIA dvd, but for the color calibration, it's not suitable. HD65 doesn't have 'COLOR' setting, it has 3 gains and 3 bias settings instead ?! blink.gif Tried moving them around, but doesn't affect the color patterns.

I calibrated the contrast and brightness but turned out too dark when watching movie. blush.gif

The 3 gains/bias are to calibrate grayscale and to do that you need a colorimeter or a spectroradiometer. They will/should not affect the colours at all.

If no tools are used, the only the brightness and the contrast can be set. Colour can be set using colour filters but it would not be too accurate.

I hope below are myths especially no.2 - 4.

Cos it's common to turn on projector multiple times in a day. And also during installation, it's common to move projector while switched on.

Hopefully they can fix your problem soon.. for my case i was 100 percent satisfied with vismart's  service.. but i still hope angkong will pohpee my pj and wont breakdown again... i saw the hd72 problem b4 i even used my hd65.. so i followed all the extreme guidelines from optoma avsforum

1) make sure enuf air circulation around pj (my aircon was blowing directly at pj)
2) do not use over 8 hours at 1 go
3) do not restart within 8 hour after shutting down
4) do not move the pj around when the bulb is still hot ( some claimed even slight knocks will damage the bulb when its hot)

my bulb paucah below 100hours at the end.. so i think just bad luck

Color filters are included with my AVIA and I've used them in the past, works fine.

Anyone read about good settings to follow from other forums?
