SF users,

what spk cable are you using ? Is it Transparent the best match with SF ?
*
Not sure if Transparent Cable is the best match. hmm.gif
And I also dont know how to actually classify a cable as the best match.
Hard to determine coz there are millions of cables out there waiting for us to try.

Just bear in mind that the cables should not be overly expensive compared to the speakers.

Yter? I would only consider using it if i have a pair of Stradivari Homage wink.gif

My personal thought on speaker cables is that, they are used to fine tune your system. As a fine tuning device, there's no such thing as 'the best match' is there?

I'm really happy to become the owner of sonus faber TOY yesterday. rclxm9.gif
Actually I got it earlier but only have chance to listen my TOY singing yesterday!

Really wan to thanks Pcwork, Alvin and engimatic.
To me, TOY is more than a pair of speakers. Is a milestone of my audiophile life.
A milestone of my friendship with pcwork, Alvin, engimatic and others in LYN.

I really appreciate Alvin to spend time to "educate" me although a costumer who owned a GUARNERI is waiting him for lunch. notworthy.gif
Thanks Pcwork to spend whole night with me yesterday and let my sleep in front of your SFCD yesterday..lol

For those who wan to start to enjoy HIFI, sonus faber TOY is really a good start. Good entry level speakers.
I'm sure it is not so called down-grade of sonus faber CONCERTINO.
It has it own beauty. Even in some expect, it can be better than CONCERTINO if you know how to appreciate it.

At 1st, I really hard to decide between SFCD and TOY due to the low and bass.
But, dun get it wrong, TOY got nice and deep bass! (dun judge it buy the outlook)
I really regret i complain TOY no bass when I 1st listen to it...

haha.."who say TOY no bass?". This is what I asked myself this 2 days.. sweat.gif

Really a chilli padi!! Dun play play..but play it seriously.. brows.gif

I am saving up for an amp...so my TOY have to rest for quite a long time again.. flex.gif

I second that. Taught me alot, ALOT, till I didn't give up on my dream to get Toy. smile.gif

Hopefully I can earn enough so I could grab my Toy before this year ends!

After burn in Toy really sounds totally different than pre burnt in Toy. At first when Theng was testing it over at Perfect Hifi, his face was like "WTF where is the bass?" hahaha.. But after burnt in, it sounded totally like a different monster. sweat.gif As you all can see, theng's bloody darn happy right there. laugh.gif

Btw.. Those bloody Hxxxxxxx things are making my head spin.. Agh. Can make SO much difference to the music produced. >_<

The side wall of the TOY's woofer is actually very thick and stiff.
It will take a huge amount of time to run in the speakers.

With the correct positioning, they can produce good bass and hard to believe that the bass is actually from speakers of this size.

theng ye,
I am sure you will hantam the amp very soon.
Everyday can only watch but cannot listen to the TOY.
It must be very 'painful' and hard to resist. laugh.gif

enigmatic,
When are you going to get yours? brows.gif

car_o_scope, you changed your SFCD to TOY?

theng ye, what amp are u using to match SF TOY? Perhaps you can give us your initial review, keep us inform the progress of run-in.

Other TOY's users, please share your review and matching amplifier.

Thanks
