SFs are really getting overpriced in Bolehland now.

5+K for a SF Toy is really ridiculous IMO.

Its like VW cars .... VW in the rest of the world is like a typical Proton-equivalent , but when come to Bolehland, becomes a premium brand instead.

Oh well, as long as the buyer makes an informed decision. Its their hard earned money and how they want to spend it on.

In China, VW are their police cars.... tongue.gif

Anyway, yes.. Sonus faber TOY is more expensive than last time.
Since many of those who aimed at TOY already knew that the price has shot up, they should really grab a pair if they are being offered the old price. rclxms.gif

Another option.. hunt for a used pair of the older generations of Sf. biggrin.gif
Sometimes there are good bargains once a while...

With that kind of money, I'll buy a used SF anytime...then again, that's just me. There are people who like their stuff brand new...

Not so good news for those Toy would-be buyers.
I am very relieved that I have bought myself a pair of SfCD.

Hey guys... just to share a bit of non-technical related thing here... hope you dont mind. blush.gif

I am sure some of you guys here have come across a British magazine called HiFi Choice.
I was browsing through the issue 322 which they reviewed the latest Sf Liuto monitor speakers with the original stands.
When I look closely at those photos, I was surprised to see the reviewer had fixed the stands wrongly to the speakers. doh.gif
Not just 1 photo. They got 2 photos. And both wrong. rclxub.gif

On the other hand, the owner's manual has photos of the Liuto with the stands correctly mounted.

How come the reviewer in the magazine got it wrong? haiyoh...... shakehead.gif
Hope the Liuto owners out there will get the speakers mounted correctly.

I can tell you one thing, if you like chili padi, toy is like chili padi, if you dont know toy and has no idea about it, when u listen to you will like ahh, so small and yet so big ah !!! you wont believe, basically the sound is just like other SF domus series, but minus the bass tightness,, but overall at 3.8k it would be a steal, but if at 5.8k there are lot of options..

i presume when the photo was taken, no hifi technical person was around, the photographer obviously has no idea about speaker stand, and worst of all i think the magazine seldom check the photos, and the article probably was in a rush, so nothing edited or checked b4 published, and maybe the magazine has not review any past SF speakers and this was probably the first bookshelf, hehe, i think so my point of view. but is a laughing stock for ppl out there and makes a full embarrassment for SF company

Added on August 9, 2009, 12:51 pmthey also like to take the SF faber speaker at the back, or showing you the back not the front

Added on August 9, 2009, 12:54 pmi think they never taken a picture of SF with stands b4,
