QUOTE(noob4life @ Nov 23 2008, 10:19 PM) Bro actually if u want a really cheap compressor u can go for this : Tamiya Basic Air Compressor compressor doesn't really matters as long as it is not too noisy and don't spoil easily... most important part of AB is the AB handpiece... some lousy handpiece may sprays out uneven paint on ur kit and u will surely be mad with it at the end trust me It comes with a single action air brush and is very cheap... i got mine for only RM 200... thats about the price of your Mastergrade kit... so why not get one of this instead ? Its amazing for its price, by the way... powered by a 7.2v ni-cad battery... lasts around 15 minutes continuously.... ( honestly i have NEVER turned it on longer than that... and as soon as i stop painting, i swtiched it off... ) Theres no pressure regulator or anything else... its basically just " fill the cup and spray, rinse and repeat "... great for airbrush newbies like me. It saves ur trouble of getting other airbrush parts... and its really light and portable. U can check on ebay for this airbrush..... just my suggestion.. |

Well i never had any problems with my el cheapo airbrush set.... never got any " uneven-ness " before... since its " single-action" u wont have much of a problem with a broken hand piece... cuz the mechanism inside is really simple lol. heres a link to pics of my work with this airbrush : My Nadleeh
Just my personal opinion. |

sitting in front of your computer n clicking mouse can give u lots of knowledge, but wont bring u anywhere in modeling.
trial n error is the best!, get your hand dirty n u will never forget those stupid mistakes u'd made; will remember them for life............. only bad thing is, it might cost a lot of money if compare to watching youtube................... So for those ask questions n got suggestions by others, make sure to try it out.... |

Lol i feel like doing that too. wait 1 day i snap my "gundam cemetary" pic...all gunpla that i tortured...haha So im here to ask... those of you who paint using Mr. Metal Aluminium color.... The only way to make it " difficult to rub off " is by topcoating ? Cuz i tried using surfacer... also come off easily !!! Thanks in advance |

QUOTE(noob4life @ Nov 26 2008, 12:42 PM) Lol i feel like doing that too. if i m not mistaken, the mr metal is the one with metallic foil label right? that paint, first you need to bluff to get the metallic effect. second, the paint will oxidized over time, means your metallic will become duller n duller . Third, it's really weak, n easily come off.So im here to ask... those of you who paint using Mr. Metal Aluminium color.... The only way to make it " difficult to rub off " is by topcoating ? Cuz i tried using surfacer... also come off easily !!! Thanks in advance Mebbe some others have other solutions, but for me, it's simple: dont touch your kit after u paint it. this's what i do........... just confirm the pose i want to display, n that's it for the next 10 years....... |
