Putting a metal wire to inreforce the peg is the most secure way of doing. u can use cement too, but since that's a movable part, DO NOT move it after u assemble it together. Without any reinforcement, almost 100% guarantee it ll break again.
Whoa! at least take clearer pictures, from the blurry pictures, it even looks like unpainted, bare plastic to me.

Actually u need a pin vise, some drill bit, n metal wire. pin vise u can get from multifilla, around RM20 (Or tamiya ones, good quality but cost around RM60), drill bit can get from a hardware shop (one at petaling strfeet i know sell), or tkting (try pm him), metal wire can get from hardware shop, but sizes not as many choice, or can pm tkting (around RM10).

This is only a one-time cost. Those things can be reuse, in future, for patching up broken parts or adding details on your model kit.
If i m not mistaken, those stuff, for the japanese, are almost used as disposable droplet; meaning they use once n throw away. For us Malaysian, i personally find it a little expensive to do so.
