enamel is a kind of paint. The most commonly used by Gunpla modelers r Tamiya enamel paint. I think TM should have it.

For thinner, u gotta use either hobby enamel thinner, eg enamel thinner by Tamiya, or distilled/rectified tuppertine (Art shop, the medium used to dillute oil paint).

would suggest u get yourself some lacquer paint (eg Mr color, Gaia etc) and mix them.

Exactly like what u did in art class doing water color during school day.

That's a ultrasonic cleaner if I'm not mistaken. It's use to clean the part properly so that there's no residue / plastic dust sticking on the parts after sanding. It's done so that when you paint the kit, there won't be those little dust particle sticking under your paint. It's also use to clean resin kits before assembly, just to clean the part properly off the residue from the factory mold.

Not an absolute process for model kits. But if you paint ur kits, best if you make sure the parts are really clean.

And this machine is good for cleaning air brush too smile.gif makes your life much easier.

I think someone will ask where to buy tongue.gif You can get it at pasar road if you are from KL. Price? china make around RM80 ~120, good quality like ProKits cost about RM250~400.

lol yeah, my friend told me the same thing and tat is exactly wat i did too, take a bucket of soap water (mine's shokobutsu tongue.gif), put all the separate parts in it. whirl whirl whirl the water and take all of em out. the i just put em out of the veranda to dry -v-. now still waiting to dry completely until tomorrow, lol.

I am using the Osim I-Sonic, works good. Using ultrasonic vibrations to clean.

Yes, it really makes life easier, instead of washing and brushing each parts with a toothbrush to remove the mold release agent prior to painting. I just put them in the ultrasonic cleaner, few drops of dishwasher liquid in the water and few minutes later all nicely clean.

Its good for cleaning watches, jeweleries, specs and just about anything else that fits into it.

Yes, please do clean your parts, especially if u have sweaty palm, (like me).

In the picture, it's a ultrasonic cleaner. It's a device with high frequency vibration. Main purpose is to clean hard-to-reach parts. Usually used by electronic workers (Hand phone shop).

It just vibrate n cleans. Dry paint bottle soak in thinner i think it very easy to clean.

Cost around RM100 (more or less). Can find in pasar road pudu.

Well if you plan to paint your kit, you definitely have to disassemble it. After you disassemble already then clean it, dry, and put it on to your satay stick lor. Then only paint.

Not clean first then only assemble doh.gif . Abit pointless for that sweat.gif
