if u use paint direct from the pot, wont it be too thick? I was told that the best result is to add thinner with paint.
i havent use paint before, only spray so i want to ask, wont the paint stacked at deeper edges? or in the lining for example?

i think he meant using the paint directly without mixing with other colors to get the correct color tone.

the paint set for infinite justice for example is already the 'correct' color for the kit, so no need to mix different colors.

of course have to use thinner for any type of paint

if i use brush and paint the arm, wont the ink fill the lining panel making it round edges and not sharp inside?

Your paint should never be so thick that it causes that effect. If it does you need to thin the paint more.

definitely all paint that comes in bottle needs thinning whether for hand painting or airbrushing..

but.. hand painting is no easy job, in which mastery requires more effort compare to airbrushing.

have not tried on full-scale (whole kit) handpainting, but as far as i know correctly.. u'll need to thin the paint alot, and work with at least few layers to get a nice coverage which is not too thick that cover surface details..

From my experience hand painting has a very limited option of color and need quite a number of rules to apply or else it will mess up in the end.

weird eh erh teo ?? you go and quote your own message 1 tongue.gif . anyway mixing color for ab is different from hand handpainting due to different thinner and ratio.

definitely no limit!

check out those modelers who do tin figure, just the face skin alone, 5~6 layers of same tone of color, which the result is like millions of tone of shades and colors; just like real life.

moreover, those fella with more layers, can create smoothness closed to air brush!

The modeling world outside gunpla is hugh!

Hmm... the Mr Hobby Gundam Colors that are gundam specific come in flat top bottles - the kind the Mr Color that you thin with water come in... so the Mr Hobby Gundam Colors are water based too?

diff. those gundam color, despite flat top, see properly, it's labeled as "Mr.Color".
those water base is "Mr.Hobby Color".
so Mr Gundam Colors have to use thinner.
