you do realise that star wars is an overhyped piece of crap, only reason its so famous is because it blew minds when it came out back in the stone age what with its old man with magic light stick :OOOOOOOOOOOOO and girl with weird hairstyle "ZOMG SO FOOTOOORISTIC!!!!! " and lets be honest eih, episode 1 2 and 3 were pure crapola.

and everyone knows that Avatar is basically pocahontas + dances with wolves + all the weaponry one can find in a vid game today, what makes it amazing is not the storyline, but the packaging, a run of the mill(but of course awesome) story presented in all the splendor CG has to offer, and lets not forget, probably the awesomemmest movie to be presented in 3D.

so yeah, appreciated it for what it is, not what it isnt. k.

Haha fren you better think again.. without Star Wars.. James Cameron will be still a truck driver.
And ILM was founded by LucasFilm,. Abyss, Terminator, Titanic semua using ILM... so if you call Star Wars a piece of crap, then without it, James Cameron a piece of dirt.

Better understand the history of it first before you guys brag about.. how good is Avatar.

im not comparing Avatar to jesus's 2nd coming eih, im just saying stop b****ing bout how awful its gonna be without having seen it first and from the previews, its hard to deny the fact that it looks awesome.

and all the stuff bout star wars, was just to push your buttons tongue.gif
4 5 6 i appreciate alright, 1 2 3 i despise, well 2 and 3 mostly. smile.gif

if you wanna talk bout a big budget movie that was overhyped and failed to deliver, its gotta be the dark knight for me smile.gif

Just back from watching avatar

My take

- it is an enjoyable movie but don't expect much

- pretty much can guess what's gonna happened next

- a bit long 2 1/2 hour (felt a bit stretch at times)

- CGI is excellent. You'll feel like u r watching a living breathing pandora

- Sam Worthington (the lead) doesnt has that charisma or that likeable

- Michelle Rodriguez is typically cast on her normal role

No major fault with this movie. Watch it if just for the special effects alone

Also the PQ should be great in Blu Ray

You watch in 3D?

Yep, the picture quality should be great in Blu-Ray. (watch the trailer only)
That's make think whether it's worth watching in cinema. Heavy CGI movie seems not that enjoyable to be watch in cinema. tongue.gif

The bold part; if that what you saying, it's like watching Transformers. laugh.gif ,only Transformers is worst.

Anyway, will be going to watch it; both cinema & blu-ray.

Thanks for the review!

nope, not in 3d

depends on reveiw here for the 3d, might watch again

no no no, this movie is way better than "i don't care about storyline as long as i got great robots and fake great tits bouncing around transformers"

this is a great movie but not a classic. hope i'm wrong

something is just missing from the final grand battle

hope other viewers can share their thoughts later

i just watched Avatar, all i can say Pandora... look freaking real. The story, well it is a typical story, at some part you can predict what happen next.

I think one of the goal what James Cameron wanted to achieve are the Pandora environment, Jungle, reptiles, animal, plant and etc make the film like a living breathing planet. The great thing about this film is everything look freaking real, therefore pushing the CGI another step toward revolution.

I watched in 3D, there are some part only in 3D, like flakes, zero gravity floating water and some chase scene part.

This film is amazing, i "wow" toward the end and goes OMG esp the part where

but i think Titanic is still the best. smile.gif
