QUOTE(hye @ Jun 12 2008, 09:08 AM) My best bet would be around 1 month, normally from my previous redemptions - gifts arrive within 2-3 weeks. I heard about the top up too but the person did not mention how this is done. 1 month its not that after straight away we got the card, we can get the mp3 d? anyway i also heard that i need to swipe like 4-5 trxn within 45 days to be eligible for first year free annual fee...then the 2nd year they advise me to call in citibank to verbally ask them to cancel the annual fee...got such thing one?

@jchong, U certainly been mistaken - Y would I not keep the good ones for myself? Haf no idea if she gave good investment advise - she's not my RM! @navilink, I don't think Citibank has a policy to just 'cancel' or 'waive' ur annual fees until U speak with their CS - even then, they can't tell U so much in advance.

@jchong, Sure but Y would I want to introduce my HOT RM to such an eligible bachelor? I might as well keep him (eligible bachelor) for myself, right? And we're totally OT!

Your 1.5 is basic or inclusive of allowance and OT? Usually they only qualify ppl based on their basic.

@hye, UOB's Preferred Platinum looks quite good with quite a lot of additional benefits too; esp for golfers. Then again, for those who's able to attain this card, they probably oredi have their own golf membership I've no intentions to change to this card unless UOB does an automatic upgrade - too much hassle and don't have the energy to keep tab of what's what. PS: I could intro her to U, on condition I get the Seoul trip, not her!

QUOTE(jimmywalker @ Jun 12 2008, 11:37 AM) Wanted to ask, can merchant pass the charges to consumer? I mean if after the seller & buyer have agreed to trade the item for rm100. Then when the buyer wanted to pay by credit card, the seller say need to pay more. If cash = rm100 if u got low yat plaza, u will face this. normally, they will put in the additional 2% charges on ur invoices. while on other hand, previously, on Perodua service centre, consumer also need to bear the finance charges, but recently they waived, dun know y.

QUOTE(Aeon_Clock @ Jun 13 2008, 09:19 AM) why didn't you try other banks like HSBC or RHB? Usually international bank are more stringent on their underwriting policy. They have more experience thus a stricter criteria.

@hye, muAHahHAhaHAhaHAH.... Ah well I don't think mine's due for expiry anytime soon but I do suppose if I want to make use of the benefits, I could always check with the call centre I think the design of the card looks quite good too, except I dun like the 'Preferred Platinum' word on it. I suppose this 'Preferred Platinum' had to be introduced because of the 'ONE Platinum'?
