Which mutual fund offer lower switching fee as compared to Public Mutual now?

Can invest using EPF money?
thanks

Eastspring Investments (formerly Prudential), Hwang, AmInvestment, Alliance, among others, all zero switching fee. Of course, only for intra switching.

hi guys.

im absent for a while from this corner.

anyway, just sharing with you guys.

today i 80% all my investment into sukuk. another 20% i moved to balanced fund.

reason is because the 80% portion already made growth around 5%-8%, so i lock it first. doesn't matter if the market goes up later. i just park them 1st before hit back into equities. flex.gif

for the 20% portion i moved to balanced because the value still haven't break even. so i decided to expose those 20% to equities+bonds market and willing to take a little bit of risk. sweat.gif

OSK-UOB Income Fund perform slightly better. I invested since June 2012 with multiple topup till August 2012. So far my XIRR is 4.02 %. Good to spread over different fund to diversified the risk.

Look like data error. FSM updated their NAV, no increase at all. tongue.gif

Am planning to switch partial of my AmD bond to OSK-UOB too. Make use of the nil switching fee. Need to be more diversify.

AmDynamic Bond already closed, I'd suggest not touching it. Park your current and future months' excess funds in OSK-UOB Income Fund, that's what I'm planning to do. wink.gif

P.S. - OSK-UOB IF minimum subsequent purchase also RM1,000 sweat.gif

Added on October 8, 2012, 11:52 pmJust bought into Hwang Asia Quantum Fund (an Asia Ex-Japan, overweight Malaysia small-mid cap equity fund) 2 weeks ago, almost recouped my FSM Sales Charges. Hwang IM is ridiculously good. sweat.gif

I think you will incur an exist fee of 1% for AmDynamic Bond. The is no sale charge for OSK-UOB Income Fund.

Try not to touch your AmDynamic Bond as Pink said.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Was looking at FSM "other performance data" column and noticed that OSK annual return loses to AmD by quite a huge margin. 2011 - 10.12% vs. 3.93%

Or I'm looking at the wrong column.

Yes, AmDynamic beats OSK-UOB Income Fund by a wide margin, but
- it's closed for further purchases
- it's 100% MYR Bond vs OSK-UOB IF up to 30% in foreign bonds
- OSK-UOB IF is more focused on conservation than returns (based on what I read from its literature)

That's why I said, leave your holdings in AmDynamic Bond untouched, but start buying into OSK-UOB IF, it's one of the better MYR/MYR-focused bond fund around. icon_rolleyes.gif

P.S. 2012 year-to-date returns are comparable:
AmDynamic 5.89%
OSK-UOB IF 5.28%

My guess? Ringgit depreciating and/or lesser interest in MYR bonds compared to HKD/SGD bonds. Diversification bro, diversification. icon_idea.gif

Thanks for the tip, bro.

You self calculated the 2012 annual return of two fund?

Didnt notice any foreign bond that OSK invests in the prospectus. But I just had a glimpse, reading in details over the weekend.

Btw; to see the annual return of a fund we should refer to "other performance data" column right? This is a really lost question. lol

FSM got "Year-to-date" returns for each fund icon_idea.gif

As at latest fact sheet, about 20%++ of OSK-UOB IF is invested in SGD and HKD bonds.

If via CWA, it is 2%. if via CPAM, im not sure but must be cheaper.

However, if via CPAM, no one will monitor it for u.

But i get it for free because i already invested in other CIMB funds via CWA. So the switching is free. 4 times per year. S basically it's free whole life because i dont frequently switch. Renew every year.
