initialy when i become UTC, i simply hantam all the funds which going to decalre dividedns/distribution.my mistakes...... waiting for right time to switch to 4 to 5 acc only. if i c no bad affect, plan to leave it.

another reason is as a UTC, i believe shud hv diversified to more funds. my another mistake.

icic. cos i see so many funds are investing in share market in very high percentage. I worried this might not be diversified enuf. now i understand.

Guys, got a question...

E.g. Fund ABC goes ex-distribution today, then I sell the fund before the distribution units is credited into my account...will I get paid in cash for the distribution? Or its "lost"?

E.g.
06-Aug-12 Ex-divvy
07-Aug-12 Sell all
27-Aug-12 Distribution is credited to unitholders

u will get all. ur distribution will be in difff cheque.

i elect to reinvest
then I sell during ex-divvy period

what will happen to the distribution? the FM will pay me in cheque?

NO, they will bank-in the amount to my saving acc

just joking,..... no worries, they will issue another cheque for the distribution.

just asked on FSM...

thru FSM, in such situation, the divvy will be credited back to the fund

so u gotta perform another sale transaction to clear it off and get cash

its maybe FSM is an agent.. not UTMC.

cos FSM got no option to received distributions in cash, it only can do reinvestment. If u want the cash u gotta sell some units yourself.

I want to buy some bond funds but AmDynamic Bond is not offered for sale. So sad..... will it open anytime soon?

Or any recommendation for a risk adverse like me?

This will have some overseas exposure...AmInvestment funds with foreign exposure not that strong...I'd prefer to wait and see how it performs first

Yeah, as at current, bulk of Sukuks is denominated in RM

I spoke to the Fund Manager of AmDynamic Bond last month. There are not going to increase the fund size as it is at optimum level now. So it will not be open again.
But a new fund will be launch still pending SC approval, which have similar investment strategy

Thought the new fund is AmDynamic Sukuk?

As to my knowledge it is not AmDynamic Sukuk.

Sukuk and bond are a different animal.

The latest quote is from Bloomberg.

There is no update of the fund price from normal channel since 3 Aug.

Expecting the usual dividend of about 0.02.
