From my understanding... over the in the US ... panasonic and pioneer 'status' is almost the same... (pioneer doesn't have some super elite status lah) But still... too much marketing hype about black levels lah.... As someone said earlier... it's not the be all and end all... Also, I think it's up to Panasonic to decide their target market.... no doubts about their technology... but I think the recent models they are targeting a different market compared to Pioneer. |

The default contrast is too high for my preference ... so set mine to Eco and turned on Power mgmt ... overall excellent pictures and colours .. great when watching NGEO. Only thing not that happy is sound clarity ... Seems a bit weak/muddled for my liking. Found myself having to adjust volume up for conversations to hear people speak and lowered down when there is lots of action .. cause the price is cheap in Plasma category ... so for budget constraint consumer is a good choice
