RX330 just made me realize something - there is no such thing as HD Ready Plasma TV. Even pioneer 428 cannot be consider as HD Ready.... sad.gif
*
That's not true.

If you look at the HD Ready standards set - it only mentions minimum 720 HORIZONTAL lines in widescreen aspect ratio. It DOES NOT specify VERTICAL lines unlike Full HD or HD Ready 1080.

Are you sacrificing some resolution over 'full' 720p. Yes.

Also, many 50" plasmas native res is 1366x768.

So you can get full VERTICAL res! tongue.gif

EDIT: hahaa.. got my horizontal and vertical confused!!! tongue.gif tongue.gif

Hi guys

I just got myself a wii and need to get myself a display(can't find ways to connect to monitor grr). I've shopped around for some 32 inch gaming tv and is quite intrested in the Sharp Aquos A53 and the Panasonic 700mk that the salesman recommended because of the 100hz. Any recommendation on this or others from you sifus? to me PQ is important as well

Thanks smile.gif

why is it that our malaysian LCD/Plasma discussion forums are chatting so slow and unresponsive at times compare to say , singapore forums .

is it because singaporean purchasing power is greater , more brands, models and series available there ,more educated in this issue etc

or malaysian are simply too lazy to discuss or give opinion or just 'tak boleh'

come on lah malaysian

LG PG60 is RM4899 with divx playable via usb
Panny PV80 is around RM45XX with jpg playable via sdhc

unless forumers here can offer cheaper price for that LG PG60
it's better to get panny and if wanna play divx get a dvd player with that capability costing a couple of hundred ringgit only, still total cheaper

Was quoted LG 42PG60 at RM4100 cash just now at a shop in Kepong. 1 year warranty. No freebies rclxms.gif

by end of this year, pioneer will be buying its panel from panasonic.
just like sony buying from samsung and the former only selling its "bravia" processor to the consumer.
so, i donno how pioneer will promote its plasma tv.

in panasonic factory in osaka, i have witnessed panasonic compared its plasma n LCD tv with sharp, toshiba n pioneer.
we also watched a galaxy video clip in a room and it showed us how 'kuro' level in PY800 beaten pioneer full HD model.
it cant really say that none plasma can beat KURO.
the experiment in factory is actually insider news so far because malaysia ppl have not come across PY800 model yet.
what i can say that this PY800 is a very strong full HD model which will be coming to the local market soon.

i strongly agree with " belives our eyes more than our ears" as said by someone here.
so, panasonic's motto is simple "see to believe".
shall see. rclxms.gif
