guys, for those who have panny py800h series, what do u think of their intelligent frame creation thing? i feel that some scene is really smooth whereas some other motion is jerky lol...

btw, i hooked it up with my 4 year old dvd player via component output, dvd played looked so nice.... i wonder how real will blu ray playback look like lol...

So far I didn't feel any jerky motion on my py800h yet. Maybe my eye is not that sensitive to jerky motion 

I am also using a 3 year old DVD player but I routed the video vie component cables to my AVR and then use the AVR's HDMI out to upscale the picture to my plasma TV. The PQ is so much better compared to a direct connection from the DVD player to the plasma TV.

However I did noticed that the upscale PQ of Astro is not as good as the direct S-Video connection from the astro decoder to the plasma TV. I'll have to experiment a bit more to get better PQ from Astro.

Just got my Samsung FULLHD LCD LA40A650 set.
Ohh man I LOVE THIS SET! . Nice design, nice spec. Their Crystal Clear Panel beat all other LCD in terms of picture and colour. For Computer usage, this panel's native resolution is 1920x1080 with 1:1 pixel mapping, which makes it one of the best PC Monitor .The downside is, their 100hz technology is kinda bad, watching fast action movie with 100hz setting as "high" is a nono. The motions will become unrealistic and very animation-like. But other than that, their series6 is definitely the best compared with other LCD.  Well thats my opinion. 

BD.... i'm still waiting for the price to drop...currently is just too pricey to own one now ~_~....

I am currently considering the PS3 as my source for BD. At least it can double up as a game console as well.

And you can use the PS3 as a media player too. Quite a good investment I must say.

OK, that's another consideration.

Just got a Onkyo 805 so need some time to convince HM that PS3 is another good investmnet

spend RM10K ++ for a X-series 40" LCD tv for gaming??!?!?
if this above model cannot perform better than any other plasma or LCD tv, this is surely a no demand model.
frankly speaking, X-series only can tap off a VERY small number of buyers in the market.
motion flow 100Hz? can LCD tv really perform as motionless as plasma tv? 
guys, i doubt.

If you compare the X series with W series, the W series have a better contrast and plasma like blacks. You can do a side by side comparison and anyway, What Hi-Fi UK gave pretty good reviews for the X series.

Getting a PS3 is a healthy investment and will encourage you to spend more time at home, your HM sure will agree one.
