by end of this year, pioneer will be buying its panel from panasonic.
just like sony buying from samsung and the former only selling its "bravia" processor to the consumer.
so, i donno how pioneer will promote its plasma tv.

in panasonic factory in osaka, i have witnessed panasonic compared its plasma n LCD tv with sharp, toshiba n pioneer.
we also watched a galaxy video clip in a room and it showed us how 'kuro' level in PY800 beaten pioneer full HD model.
it cant really say that none plasma can beat KURO.
the experiment in factory is actually insider news so far because malaysia ppl have not come across PY800 model yet.
what i can say that this PY800 is a very strong full HD model which will be coming to the local market soon.

i strongly agree with " belives our eyes more than our ears" as said by someone here.
so, panasonic's motto is simple "see to believe".
shall see.

i seriously dont think 42PY800 or 42PV800 will sell at RM4500. if this is so, i can drop out 42PV80 model d.

tint is where you can adjust the level of Red, Green or Blue.
LCD tv is generated by the backlight, the higher the backlight level, the brighter the screen, vice versa.

the price can be lowered at another RM100 more.
but RM2300 is a good deal too.

this is the power of advertisement. sony invests heavily in advertisement or brand image to impress consumers.
indirectly, consumers do not know they are in fact paying part of the advertisement cost on behalf of Sony.

customers prefer Sony because they only want Sony.by not comparing to other brands, customers still insists on sony as they know the quality beforehand.however, do you think this is a good way to buy a perfect flat panel tv?

to seek opinions:

panasonic 42PY800 = RM 7999
pioneer 428XG = RM 9999
sony 40X400 = RM 15000


these 3 above models are Full HD, if i have a planning to buy a big size TV, i seriously wont consider for sony model. the reason being, is the quality worth for the money you spend? is the quality ultra superb excellent compared to panasonic and pioneer?

for anyone who thinks that RM15000 is ok for a 40" full hd lcd tv, it is your option. i just reflect the situation based on standard customers level.

i always tell my customers to see - to compare - to analyse - to decide.

do you also point out that LG 42PG60 is a strip down model too since this model is much cheaper than PV80 yet offer good features?

if PV80 is so bad in term of picture quality, why not people pay more for PY800? this model shouldnt have many critics ba.

if people blame for proton wira no good why not they pay more to get honda accord?

if not mistaken, hitachi is seeking partnership with panasonic.

another fact is that pioneer will buy the plasma panel from panasonic end of this year onwards.

so, the king of plasma tv manufacturer = Panasonic?

i agree with you. s-series is the most pariah sony lcd tv. but, we still stock it since there's a lot sony loyalist.

Sony high end series cost pretty HIGH too.
