Indeed !

But I wil try the PY800H Full-HD with my PS3 later tonight at one of the leading Pana shop in PJ.

Dunno it's nice on the 1080p gaming for MSG4 and GT5 Prologue or not  besides BD playback and 1080p upscale DVD playback  blush.gif

Overheard the price tag was around RM6.9K

Guys. stay tune for my field reports.

Panny 800 series sure to be good lah. the only issue is the price only . at this moment , if the 42'' is at 5.5 to 6 K at 5 years warranty , than would say its worth buying

Tested on BD playback on Sammy Concert - Excellent PQ
Tested on Astro - far better than any LCD in S-Video input
Tested on PS3 - A bit better then the 8/80H and more fine due 1080p panel. Quite close to Full-HD LCD but.... just brows.gif

Unfortunately, NO sound from the unit..... sweat.gif Reason behind was Audio in PS3 set to Bitstream unsure.gif

Anyway, this is the poor man version of those who wish to own "Pionxxr" Plasma and of course both comes with the Made In Japan price tag whistling.gif

Overall - thumbup.gif & wub.gif it !!

The LG 42" PG60 ie 42PG60UR can be as low as RM3800 if you shop around. But then, Panasonic PV80 is not a bad choice if you are sort of person who don't like to play around with extra settings.

Added on June 9, 2008, 6:14 pmLG PG60 comes in in42" and 50". The quality is almost similar to Pana PV80 with PV80 has slightly better black (you really gotta see it yourself. Quite difficult to compare).

Hi guys wave.gif Just added a Sony Bravia KLV-32V400A to the house for RM2650. The unit has a nice black finish with a loovely 1366x768 screen which i likey. Watching Astro on it is a bit weird though, was wondering if Astro bumps the resolution down or do i need some better cables for the decoder? Kinda depressed watching John Langdon's face in Da Vinci Code getting distorted, not pretty sad.gif

honestly, sony S-series and V-series have not many differences.

unlike samsung (A330 vs A450) or panasonic (LE8 vs LX80), it is by different range, u can compare both features and conclude their specifications.

however, for sony S-series and V-series, the most obvious perbezaan is the frame design. blush.gif

Yeap you're right, other than the design and dimensions, only perbezaan i can find is the existence of 24P True Cinema (which i've not discovered what magic it does) and the price.

Aah, gonna go back to the shop tomorrow and see if i can change it with another model since all the plastic protectors are still intact. Panny syok kah buddy? Hehe
