Hi guy, need your help. I am not expert in LCD TV. I am looking for 32" or 37" LCD TV with budget under 3k. Any recommendation? I probably use mainly for ASTRO.
The one I target is Samsung LA32A450. Any other good recommendation?

under 3k? go for Sony Bravia S series because got ASTRO enhancement mode. I am one of satisfied owner of Bravia S310 (old model). Best performance(image quality) / price ratio for me.

Yeah, for you! ASTRO enhancement mode is just a marketing gimmick, the input signal sucks and there's no way to 'enhance' it. As a matter of fact, Sony low end lcd is one of the most PARIAH lcd in the market. Washed out color and some even 'kong' before a year.
I suggest Samsung or Sharp for LCD.

I beg to differ, the S310 rocks and its a bargain for its price. The colors on mine arent washed out at all.

maybe she just use default setting?? or maybe unlucky??

Even adrian who is selling LCD dare not recommended the low end sony to his customers. loled.
I'm one of the owner too, too bad i was so naive & thought sony rocks. Until i compare side by side with my next purchase, samsung r8. And it's even cheaper than sony. talk about price/performance ratio! LMFAO!!@@

i agree with you. s-series is the most pariah sony lcd tv. but, we still stock it since there's a lot sony loyalist.

Sony Malaysia spent too much on advertising rather than improving their S-Series.

Their high end looks very good though.

Every TV manufactures have their range of products to cater for all sector of the market and sony have come up with this S series for those who fancy Sony brand but are less demanding on quality and features .

Dont curse sony for making available a model series of lesser quality than all its other expensive and high end series after all , for this S series , sony is selling them cheap .

Hey dumb prick, who is comparing sony low end with high end? we are comparing s-series with other low end series of lcd.indeed i agree sony high end series looks good, we are just saying S-series are crap, even below 2k toshiba/samsung performs much better.and it is NOT CHEAP,can be considered the most expensive low end lcd.those who buys are for the sake of SONY branding, or never compare or do homework before purchase, or get influence by the misleading advertising or pure sohhaai.
