And I dont blame consumers here in Malaysia for making that kind of choice. Beside lack of understanding, the salesperson is sometimes play the part.
I went to Best Denki Midvalley couple of weeks ago, and this Pioneer salesperson (from the shirt he wear) was trying to impress me with PDP-508 by showing normal dvd, connected with composite cable (i took a peek behind). He was trying so hard to make the picture looks good by playing with all the setting and stuff, without knowing why the picture looks so fugly in the first place. Anyway, I just took off and went to see other tvs's.

Yeah, i met a few salesperson that can engage in more technical talk and have good knowledge, but now I pretty kind of lost faith in them. Like couple of month ago during panasonic roadshow, I ask this guy do they have the new full hd plasma (PY series), he said "Ada... ini baru sampai semalam", and show me Py700 instead....
Now if I want any useful info, I just look into any available forum, like avs or even here. Its much2 better I supposed.

I got a question. Does the py800 is similar with pz800 in US? Or is it a strip down model of pz800?

Dude... its not just a logo, its a viewing mode called THX doh.gif . They have different setting in gamma, color temp, gray scale from others. You really need to do some research..... rclxub.gif
